Increasing Mystery at Gameland!
This is a very well written book with a very intense story-line. It is the sequel of "Failsafe", episode two of this series. This is supposed to be the third of an eight series book, so it does not stand by itself as a story. It starts where episode two ended and finishes with a hook to the next episode. The plot is interesting and will keep you reading on the edge of your chair for most of the book. The characters are well developed and the scenario is so richly described that you feel you are inside the story. In episode one we saw a group of game hackers deciding to break into Long Island's Gameland, a place where nobody lives, because of an outbreak that happened twelve years before. All population that survived the outbreak were evacuated. Now the only entities that inhabit that wasteland are the zombies. Their adventure starts with a poorly planed trip idea and tension escalates during preparation for the trip and execution of the trip. They soon figure out that it is easier to enter than to leave the Island... In episode two, after trying to leave the Island, Jake is trapped and left behind, so Jessie wants to return to rescue him. Kelly anticipates her move and goes alone for the rescue. Then the whole group unite again, trying to bring them home. It fails badly and the whole original group plus a new member (added by accident) are back in the Island and facing some more mysteries. In this third book, Steven is an employee from Arc, doing some experiments on our group with new drugs to create an improved version of zombie. But before they were injected, they manage to escape from La Guardia Airport and go in the direction of Gameland. When arriving there (after lots of incidents and twists in the story), they find out some answers to questions they had from Steven and they were not happy about what they discover. This book was written by Saul W.Tanpepper in June 2012. I recommend this book to the permanent library of all thriller lovers, young adults or not. But be aware that you should read the previous episodes before reading this one, so you can understand what is going on and the interaction among the characters.

More Trouble Ahead!!
This is book three of an eight book series that builds up more as the story progresses. The group have been held and experimented on at La Guardia Airport. Their implants have been changed and they don't know what or if they've been injected with anything. After an ill fated escape attempt they realize they can't leave. The infighting among the group shows that they are starting to unravel. They have captured Stephen, one of the Arc employees that had been doing the testing on them and they now realize their only option is to head into Gameland. This is a well written story with characters that you can relate to in this very tense scenario. Book Four is next on my list to read and looking forward to seeing what else can go wrong for the group.

Each Episode is Better than the One Before!
Most of this review was from my review of GAMELAND Episodes 1-8 (S. W. Tanpepper's GAMELAND) . I am updating my first review each month. But then I got thinking I should also leave a review for each episode to let new readers how much I am enjoying each episode.Wow! This was one long episode! Saul gives you your money's worth on this series for sure. As I remarked in the Amazon Forum, each episode is better than the previous one. More details, more hints about what is going on, more zombies, more goverment big brother, and on and on. What a different take on YA and zombies. Well written, and featuring a small cast of oddball characters. What is the mystery going on behind GAMELAND? Why can't these kids break out! What happens next??!?!?!?!?!?!? With 5 episodes to go, Saul could take this story in any of several different directions. But since I signed on for all 8 episodes, I will be hanging on for the ride.Only hassle is getting the updates from Amazon. I finally had to get my July update from Saul (via Smashwords). Still, kudos to Saul for coming up with this approach. Looking forward to August 1st!
