The clamp mechanism is nice, with a large easily turned wheel to adjust ...
I have 2 other heat presses now, I find all the Chinese presses last about a years worth of hard use, and then start to heat unevenly. This was to replace of of the year old units. The clamp mechanism is nice, with a large easily turned wheel to adjust tension on the mug.BUT...normally these presses use 3 settings 1) initial temp that it heats to when turned on, 2)heat setting to achieve when sublimating a mug, and 3) the amount of time to be heated at the number 2 heat setting before the alarm timer goes off.THIS UNIT, however, only has a setting for the number 2 function. When this is achieved, you have to manually push a button to start the timer. This does not seem like much, but when doing production work, it means you have to stand there the whole time each mug is sublimating. This of course is ridiculous, and unable to perform at any kind of efficiency. The other units I have allow to to put in a mug, and do other work, until the timer buzzes, and then you put in another mug. Most of my orders are for 36 or more mugs, so this unit here, will just WASTE TOO MUCH OF YOUR TIME, that could be spent on other processes, like cutting the paper, or wrapping the mugs while one is cooking. It's a real shame that whoever designed the machine clearly NEVER spent a moment sublimating mugs. Spend more, get more, skip this low end unit.

Smart and simple
I just received this is was amazed at how solid, simple and flexible the machine is. Ready to go out of the box. It's very easy to set specific temp and time - it only beeps to let you know when it's up to temp, hit the timer and it beeps again when it's done counting down seconds for setting your art. Serious bang for your buck. I switched out the screws to wing-nuts for faster changing of mug types.

Works great, just now and then has a few issues.
We get an unexplained constant beeping when the machine gets to the temperature it needs to be at, there is no way to turn off the beep till the mug has pressed for 60 seconds. It didnt always do this. For the price you will get what you pay for, but on day one we made enough mugs on this bad boy to buy a much more heavy duty mug press. A great starter press for someone new to sublimation!

Good machine
Haven't had this machine long. It is sturdy and not hard to use. The instructions aren't written in the best English. It also seems it might be a bit hotter than its settings. Plan on wasting a half dozen or so mugs getting the correct temperature and time settings right. Once you've done that, turning out mugs is quick and easy.

It's good.
The heat and pressure needs to be perfect, but this mug press is pretty good for the money. I use it in my small scale Etsy shop. I will be upgrading to a better one once I can afford it. I would recommend this for anyone like me who is just starting out though. Good value.

This is the EASIEST product in the world to use! I produced 30 mugs and aluminum water bottles right out of the box with absolutely no prior experience and they look perfect! The instructions are very simplistic but really...I can't imagine that you would need more than what they include. And that's coming from me, the world's worst at anything electronic. Great product. Ordering a second one soon.

As advertised
OK, I like it a lot, but not in love with the directions. But this does just as well as the expensive ones and sure beats mug wraps and convection ovens. A great starter machine and the extra conical element is a real plus for the bucks.

Works
It has a few quirks to work out, but all in all works excellent. I have made about 20 mugs with this now and each one has turned out well (except for the ones I messed up myself haha). Use in a well-ventilated area though if you are making a lot in one sitting, the fumes from the sublimation ink or something was giving me a sinus headache.Edit: One year and over 100 mugs later it's still working fine!
