Inspirational, quick read that gives hope
This is an "easy read" in plain English, short enough to be read quickly, for those who seek the inspiration and hope that this Saint is well known to bring. It is a very concise book providing a basic knowledge of the life of our beloved St. Jude Thaddeus and his teachings. The seven prayers to St. Jude at the end of the book leave you with hope for whatever affliction from which you suffer.

Excellent little book
This book is fairly short but is important to me as I have chosen St. JUDE as my patron saint. I would suggest that someone who purchases it should have a decent understanding of the New Testament as there are a number of references used that contain real as well as legendary information. Though some information is certainly apocryphal ( of dubious truth ) it is still quite interesting and useful as a devotional booklet ( there are 7 nice prayers to St JUDE in the latter part of the book)'Well worth the price.

Short Yet Thought-Provoking
Thought I'd read some about the saints it being Easter time. Knew little about Jude before other than him being the patron saint of lost causes. Not much mentioned of him in the Bible, so to have these accounts from alternate sources made for an interesting read. Tales of him healing King Abgar of Syria, joining with St. Peter to miraculously grow a farmer's field of crops as if overnight, and outwitting palace sorcerers had me in awe tho the author states readers may decide for themselves which texts they find most compelling. Book needs a little tighter editing as it confused Jude with John at the midway point, but otherwise an engaging read overall and if you're in need of a prayer to St, Jude there is a collection of seven at the close that can easily be accessed by handy links from the table of contents. Was a good read for me worth discussing with others and moving on to reading about Fatima next.

Excellent but Short
This is an interesting read on Saint Jude in the early disciples of the church. If references miracles places he visited his kinship with Peter and his closeness to Jesus. Overall it is a very good read. It also gives a number of prayers to Saint Jude at the end of the book

Pleasant Reading
St. Jude was one of the apostles. After the departure of Our Lord Jesus, he went off to Syria. It is said he was nervous of the journey. These areas were full of barbarian tribes, quite unsafe. So, St. Peter went with him, part of the way. After this there are many stories of his preaching to the peoples. The way he preached is described. There are accounts of episodes on his journey. I do recommend this book to anyone interested in spirituality. It is a pleasant and informing read.

The Life and Or as years of Saint Jude
I found the stories written in this book infantile. True miracles is one thing but I couldn't see St. Peter and St. Jude doing or saying what was recorded in this book.

A Very Wonderous Life
This book chronicles what happened after Jesus ascended in particular the travels of Peter and Jude to Syria and at some point Jude and Peter go on separate journeys so the book continues with the very wonderous works that Jude has done. The prayers are not made by Jude as the title suggests. It is a list of prayers to Jude.

A good account of the Apostle Jude's life
This is a book that every Christian can learn the known facts about the life of this follower of Jesus. In the Roman Catholic Church he is the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes. The book is a good biography as well as a prayer book at the conclusion. I found it inspirational as well as informative and well researched.

I enjoyed this book
I didn't know much about Saint Jude except for him being the Patron Saint of the desperate. I enjoyed learning about his life and works. I also appreciate having several prayers of intercession at the end of the book. The book is well written but needs a little improvement in regards to the prayers (the first one is on 2 pages when there was room enough to have it on 1 page only), nothing major as you can see.

The Patron Saint of desperate cases.
Though it is stated in the book that there is a 'dearth' or lack of evidence about much of his early life, you will find some wonderful stories about Saint Jude Thaddeous inside. The Patron Saint of Desperate Cases is the one you can pray to when you are feeling hopeless and alone. He will answer you in your darkest hour. The translation of his name in Latin had caused some confusion...'Judas' and there are conflicting reports about his passing...you will find all this inside. There are some beautiful prayers in the back of the book as well.

Good book
I appreciated the history of this apostle! As a Evangelical Protestant I can't go along with the prayers to him but I really think he can be example we try to copy.
