Attractive and protective case for my in-ear headphones.
This case is very sturdy, waterproof (but not fireproof!) and made with rigid plastic. I don't see many scenarios where the items inside are not protected. The latch snaps shut and stays shut, although there is no way to lock it. I can see how it can be useful in carrying small electronics and such but make sure that you don't leave it unattended. The case is attractive it so may be something that would be subject to pilfering hands. Really happy with it.

Perfect Case - Awesome Travel Humidor
I LOVE Pelican Cases. I use them for everything, they are indestructible and guaranteed for life! The 1060 is a great size, the largest of the "Micro" Sized Cases. The clear top is an awesome feature. Case snaps shut with a nice air/water tight seal. This case make a perfect travel or small humidor. It will stack 3x 54 ring gauge sticks high without being squeezed by the lid and about 5x across. Long enough for Churchills in tubes with 3/4 of an inch to spare. Toss in a Broveda 69% packet (which sits flat across the bottom) and your good to go for 3-6 months! Save a ton of money over cheap "travel humidors" that don't work well. Bottom line: For under $25 total-out-the-door you can make a perfect travel humidor you can pack the night before without having to worry about seasoning, and will last you months after you've returned from your trip with 0 maintenance. Drop the hammer, this is a no-brainer.

A mini portable Pelican case? Why not?
For $30 why would you not have one of these things?Instantly make your wallet, keys, phone, or any other small portable object virtually indestructible by placing it in this case. It has a built-in pressure regulator just like the big boys, and even a nice silicon shock-absorbing skin to keep things from rattling or bouncing around. I’ve had one of these cases for years, taking it on rafting trips and up mountains, and I just bought a few more for various other purposes. It’s a great case at a great price.

Pelican is the best
I bought a new Macbook Pro with the retina display. Apple decided to take the Ethernet adapter and make it an external dongle. I also needed adapters to go to DVI monitors and to use the older power supply with the redesigned one, and for a modem dongle. I bought the Pelican 1060 and the foam kit so that I could protect this stuff, as I work outside, but more importantly so I could find all these little parts in my backpack in the middle of the night in a snow storm. This this is great. It is a different design from my bigger Pelican cases, but it is very sturdy. I always have a hard time cutting the foam correctly, but I got it done and it holds everything snugly. The Pick n' Pluck foam kit for this from Pelican has about a one inch gap between the top of the foam and the top of the lid. It wasn't a big deal for me, but if you need the foam to reach the top of the lid it won't.

A deluxe toiletries bag
1) The seal is not 100% waterproof. If bone dry isn't important, this should be fine. 2) There is a flaw in the manufacturing of this lid that leaves a 1/2 centimeter rough edge along center of the lid along the hinge. This is not unique to Amazon. Stock at REI has the same problem. 3) The carabiner is substandard. I expect it to fail at some point. For my application, this works fine. I wanted a toiletries travel bag. This case is washable, crushproof, compact, and easily inspectable. I wanted a container that would *contain* liquids (astringents, mouthwash, etc) that leaked. No more double bagging ziploc bags! I am deducting a star for the 3 problems I listed. UPDATE: I bought two of these cases. Both flimsy carabiners failed as predicted. I bought two replacements by ordering teo “Nite Ize GS1-01-2R6 G-Series Dual Chamber Carabiner”

Keeps my phone dry on kayak trips
I use my Pelican case on my fishing kayak to keep my cell phone and keys dry. I've been using these cases for over 10 years and they work as advertised. I kayak in a large river mostly with lots of rough water and rocks. I get tossed around pretty good and have to deal with a lot of water. The Pelican case holds up and keeps my phone and keys secure and dry. The case has a rope attached that I can hook on to my kayak to make sure it stays put.

Quality at the right price
Pelican cases come in many sizes, but all (that I've seen and bought) maintain the consistent attribute of quality materials and appropriate price. Most recently, I purchased this and the Model 1300. These two are my 7th & 8th Pelican cases, and every one of them has performed to expectation. I use them for Camera Equipment (large roller case with DSLR & Lenses), Video camera and some 0910 for memory cards, the 1300 is for multiple HDD's (though they do have some other products intended for that purpose). If you need a rugged water tight container for any purpose, Pelican should receive careful consideration. This model does not have the "Pick 'N Pluck" foam that comes with some models, however I believe you can order it separately. My purpose for this case was to carry 3.5" HDD's (without housing) and the case provides a good snug fit. Some left over foam from my other cases will be used to fill one end which has a couple of inches gap.

Typical Pelican case. It’s strong!
This Pelican case was bought to store a USB battery backup. This case is plenty big to do that. Waterproof? Yes! Tough? Yes! I like having the clear top on the case. That lets me see what’s inside the case without having to open the case. I’ve bought many Pelican cases over the years to store stuff. Never, and I mean NEVER have I had any problems with any of my Pelican cases!
