uxcell 300Pcs SV1.25-3.2 Insulated Fork Spade U-Type Wire Connector Electrical Crimp Terminal 22-16AWG Red/Black

I use these with my DC wiring needs on my model railroad. Most spade connectors for 18-22 gauge wire are red, so the red / black color coding is a great way to differentiate between plus (red) and minus (black) polarity. However, the distance between the spade forks cause an excessively snug fit in some barrier strips. I usually need to spread the the forks a small amount to improve the fit. Not sure why these don’t seem to match the fork width on other brands of spade connectors. If they did, I would rate them 5 stars.

I don't know if I am crimping wrong or if my batch was left in extreme temperatures, but the insulation is very prone to just cracking and falling off when you apply pressure necessary to crimp. I work around this with electrical tape but it's still something to be aware of. The insulation feels like plastic, not sure if that makes for good insulation, since it won't stay on.
