This is a perfect book for you, if you live with an animal and will one day be facing the end of its time on earth. spelled out in clear, concise format - you can read about all the stages of end of life. i often gift it to friends.

Its nice to read a book where someone understands what you go through with our pets. I find I read some sections over, it helps with the healing process and gives good insight on things to do along the way for your pet.. I recommend.

I bought this book to help guide me thru my own animals' deaths, as they were getting older. I have the upmost trust in Gail Pope and Brighthaven's animal care philosophies and knew I would need Gail's support and guidance when the time came for one of my animals to pass. Just 2 months ago, my 23 yr old beloved cat, Sabrina, started declining very quickly, and without any clinical reason other than her old age. This book offered so much support and detailed information on what to expect during her dying process. It was very important to me that Sabrina be with me at home during this transition. I was eternally grateful that she was able to do so and I knew what to expect and pay attention to so I could manage my fears, keep her comfortable and treasure this very precious time with her. So, so very grateful to Gail and Brighthaven!

This book came when I needed it most, very informative and helpful as a guide to help me through a very difficult time with my beloved pet. Thank you so much!

Soar, My Butterfly is an amazing book filled with ways to love our pets or as I would say, "fur angels" forward and help them transition. Because of this book and taking workshops with Gail Pope through the BrightHaven organization I have helped my last two fur angels pass with me at home. Through what I learned it helped me understand the dying process and be more available to connect and love them.There is so much love in this process if you are not stuck in fear. Reading this book helped me be present and love my fur angels forward. I am forever grateful for the work Gail Pope is bringing to the world.This book is a must read!

Groundbreaking and certainly timely!! Hospice is the way to go with most animals' passings. As they manage other aspects of their lives, they manage their transition to spirit with grace, and in most cases, exquisite ease. this invaluable book guides the reader through the nuts and bolts of the process as well as the spiritual aspects of the death experience.I was fortunate in that I recommended Soar My butterfly to a friend recently, and it enabled her cat to have a loving, peaceful passing surrounded by loved ones, animal and human. she has bought copies to give to her friends!the photo is of my Chucho at his passing...with little Fabian keeping watch with us.

This is truly an exceptional book. A must have for all pet owners. I have never found the knowledge, experience and information in this book anywhere else. I am so grateful to have this resource on hand. It makes everything a little less scary.

I read this in less tan 10 minutes, I was touched by her compassion but question a coupe things. Subcutaneous liquids slow down the process, and I thought essential oils were toxic to cats. Much of book is common sense to people who tune in to their companions, I would have liked a simple reiki lesson. I recommend one gets this from library.
