I use iOmounts car system in my car and have loved it. I don't have a lot of room in my home office and desk so I needed a solution like this and it worked out very well. The ball that comes with the product is VERY heavy and the Magnet on the holder is VERY strong. As long as you make sure you have a good installation this will hold very well. It would be best to use a stud but if you don't have one I would suggest buying some drywall anchors from Lowes etc. The dry wall anchor that comes with the product is NO GOOD! I would not trust it to hold up my $600 iPad. I did not have a stud so I bought my go to drywall anchor called "Plastic Toggle" drywall anchor from Lowes. They hold up to 143Lbs and anchor in a very secure way. I included a pic of the screw and head that sits on the wall and accepts the large Ball. It is even worth mentioning that the screws that come with the Plastic Toggle drywall anchors are almost identical in size to the one that comes with the iOmount that you have to use to fasten the female acceptor to the wall. It worked perfectly!! All in all I am very pleased with the mounting system and the only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of the sticker you get with the product. It is VERY small and insufficient and for such an expensive product they could include at least 4 stickers.
