La Milano makes great shoes!
My husband doesn't own many dress shoes but I figured that he needed a few good ones. I'm glad I got these ones. The coloring of the shoes are beautiful. The style is simple and elegant.Husband usually wears custom prescription shoe insoles. These shoes have memory foam insoles, husband does not need his prescription ones. Husband told me that when he first put on the shoes they were a little tight on the sides but later loosened to fit comfortably (within 1 day). He also told me that the Achilles tendon was rubbed by the back of the shoe. Hubby knows about shoes so was able to alter the shoe enough so that it does not bother him any more. Hubby has had countless compliments on his shoes and only wore them twice so far.

Sharp looking shoes
Ordered these shoes for my son - he loves them. They are very soft leather. They came and they are much sharper in person than I even thought when I first looked at them. The fit is perfect and they go great with my son's new suit. The only think I would be concerned about is how slippery they may be on snow/ice here in the Midwest. Very excited to see the entire outfit pulled together with the shoes for prom. Super nice shoe. They slip on nicely and are comfortable.

Strange quality; implies Italian, Argentinean, made in China. DO NOT ORDER SIZE UP PERIOD!
I would not consider these shoes worth more than paid, and I ordered black and brown. As stated, do not go even 1/2 size up. Both pair are a good one inch longer than any of my 100 pairs , at this house alone. See: clothes horse! I am at my Florida residence, but prefer my Paris residence where I can shuttle to Italy , or London, for fine footwear. I do not think I will purchase shoes through Amazon soon. Shoes are the most important article of clothing we wear, and Amazon sells primarily low quality, low grade options. At prices they could beat any competition. I hate to admit. If their buyers would step up to high endfootwear, at a break, I would come running back. I would purchase suits if they offered deals on Hickey Freeman. God knows they have the selling pressure.Getting back to these shoes; they will never stand the test of time. The pictures are far better than the product. The leather sadly borders on PU. The buckles give away the quality. The leather that slides through the buckle is backed by a synthetic as it will pull apart, and will curl, as my first try on is showing. The leather is indented, and I had never even tried them on. The name implies Italian, but claims Argentinian. Argentina has superb cattle. I am dubious about the REAL origin, just as the US controlled island in the Pacific, that Congressional Republicans continue to allow virtual slave labor to make, and ship products to the US, with the "made in America ", label inserted. Every year a bill is introduced to end this scam, but large and powerful manufacturers block its passage. Shame! See "60 Minutes ", for full report. Maybe my review will be published, or we will become silenced like China in 20 years.Well, the shoes look nice, from a distance. Many complements will be given, as the style is great. I would have paid a lot more for quality of execution and materials. The heel, which states synthetic , is very soft , which implies it will need replacement, at a cost close to the total shoe. I have had this work done on cherished British shoes in their 2nd generation, as well as woven leather shoes I loved only 30 years old. Be very ginger with these. REMEMBER, keep your shoes polished and waterproofed! When your father told you "take care of your shoes, and they will take care of you ", he was passing on sage advice. My first great pair of shoes from my father, American made, that today would be over $2,000, I treated them with the disrespect I still feel ashamed of some 40 years on. I learned the lesson of those words of wisdom, the hard way. I also learned that I was not mature enough to preserve and protect the most valuable article of clothing we need to get anywhere in life.I gave these shoes 3 stars, both pairs, mostly for their style. Sadly, I foresee they are little more than disposable clothing, the next plastic crisis on this planet. They could have been so much more. If you come across a 1930's pair, you will get it!UPDATE: I returned both of the 1 inch oversized shoes, and at further examination decided to upgrade one star. I reordered both pairs. I pray they will fit. My improvement in stars came from the young lady who mentioned that the soft heel could be retrofitted, which I can see, but was never an option on my far more expensive (regular) footwear. You must still be aware of the amount of use you run down the heel. If you wear down the inner side of the heel, the fix would cost you the price of the shoes. I know, as when I had the heel fixed on my woven leather shoes . I failed to ask the price for my beloved Cuban shoes. Much to my horror, they cost the price of a new pair. Prices have risen a great deal, and the cobbler loved the workmanship, and I had no chance of finding another pair. My heels wear to the external side. Perfect for these shoes, as wear on the inside would be insanely expensive! The external pad is a quick glue! After looking at the heel, and realizing the few times a year I will wear these, I jumped up one star. That being said, I worry about heat retention, as I live winters in Florida, and Grand Cayman, and synthetic materials that surround the foot encourage sweat. I will update upon futher review.I am REALLY trying to love these designs. I am at the age where I crave good new design, that I do not already own. The punched front brown design was available in the 30's, and I loved them. Think of the movie "Chinatown". And, someone mentioned made in China. You are correct! Why imply Italy, and Argentinean leather, only to be made in China? Are we all fools?

Comfortable, sharp looking shoes at a great price
Normally I am a bit nervous about purchasing clothes and shoes over the internet, but so far, no problems! Now I normally wear very plain looking shoes, but my wife really liked the look of these. Since wearing them, I have had a few great comments from co-workers, who normally wouldn't even notice if I came to work barefoot!I bought these shoes to wear to work with brown/tan colored pants. I purposely waited a bit to do my review to give them a chance to wear in and see how well they held up. They were a bit stiff and tight when I first put them on, but that seems to be common for me. After a day, they felt much more comfortable, and after a week they fit like a glove. I have had the misfortune of having to wear these in wet weather when snow started early before I could leave work one day. They got soaked! I thought they were ruined. I dried them off, stuffed them with rags, and left them near a heater vent to dry. A few days later, they looked nearly as good as new, and with a little polishing, they came right back and looked great! Now, there was a bit of shrinkage, however once again, after a day of wear, they fit just fine. It's been about three weeks since then, and all is still good.

The look sharp and feel great!
First of all, the packaging was very impressive; the shoebox is sturdy and each shoe was in its own cloth bag. I’m especially pleased with the complimentary shoehorn. As for the shoes: My pair didn’t really need a break in period, but I am used to breaking in work boots, so maybe one day of wear if I had to quantify breaking them in. They fit well right out of the box, I’ve even tried them with a couple different weights of sock; they don’t abuse my feet through my thin dress socks, and my feet still fit into them wearing thicker, athletic socks. I wear them with slacks, chinos, and jeans and they look great with them all.

Nice dress shoes that fit and wear as expected
I wasn't too sure about these shoes for the money but it turns out to have been a fantastic buy. I wear dress shoes daily and these look good and are comfortable. They have broken in nicely and fit as expected.I purposely didn't review until having them for a couple of months and wearing them regularly. I can say they have held up exceptionally well and I will be ordering again.

Very Well Made and Expensive Looking Shoes
The media could not be loaded. The box came a little damaged but I don’t care, as long as the shoes were fine. As you can see from my pics and video the shows look amazing. The shoes details like the thick stitching and buckles and leather color make them look so expensive. These are the best pair of Double Strap Monks I’ve ever owned. I am going to buy an extra pair just to have when these wear out. Order a size and a half up. I am usually a 10 but I bought a 10.5.
