Are these durable enough for martial arts training?

Yes, I'm ussing them since a year ago and I didn't have problems. Doing bunkai with Bo with a strong person they bend a bit. I'm very happy with my sais.

Are they solid steel?

Don't waste your money, it's not solid steel and it will break as a result.

There are two sci in there correct?

Yes it is a pair although not exactly matched.
