YAMAHA14F4 Flugelhorn Mouthpiece (YAC FH14F4)

I purchased a 14F4 almost a year ago and paired it with an Adams flugelhorn. It didn't work well with that particular horn. I ended up selling both. Fast forward to two days ago. I bought a brand new Yamaha 8315G, which came supplied with a 14F4. The experience was much different. The mouthpiece and the horn are a perfect combination.

Great mouthpiece for flugelhorn. Works great with my Yamaha, King, DEG, Getzen and Schilke flugels.

I purchased this mouthpiece to use with my Yamaha Flugelhorn. It has the correct shank size and the 14F4 is the closest dimension size as I could get to the Bach 3c mouthpiece i use for my trumpets. I find it familiar to play on. It kind of reminds me of my Schilke 15 mouthpiece (which I find very comfortable and easy to play). Highly recommended to anyone who needs a Yamaha shank Flugelhorn mouthpiece.

For half the price as Schilke sized nouth piece this is fine for me on mySchilke 1040f flugelhorn (doesn’t cone with mouthpiece? Why Schikke I know it seems wasteful but just put one on that uses your preferred leadpipe matching your size leadpipe as two leadpipes is generous but then no mouthpiece seems oddly stingy (maybe it’s me?) lol—- don’t hesitate to buy this yamaha flugelhorn mouthpiece __if you have__ the proper matching size leadpipe which in myhorn kit is one with the L (other has and S on it) . If S stands for Schilke then it’s news to me as don’t yet own a Schilke flugelhorn mouthpiece so don’t use my review to assume Yamaha is better just that it plays fine with the Lesdpipe they include both sizes with Schikke 1040f but was used to Yamaha 11F4 standard flugelhornmouthpiece so saw no reason to pay double for same size mouthpiece unless it’s gold or silver and pretty sure the one that’s over 100 isn’t either so price is right!

I am a trumpet player. And I needed a mouthpiece for college because my standard flugel mouthpiece was pretty bad. I play a 14C2 Schilke trumpet mouthpiece. And this flugel mouthpiece works great for me.
