Great product for tie down applications in the back yard. These are strong and durable, and excellent length and thickness.
I just received these 3/8" rebar stakes with the welded ring top. I used these last night as an interim tie down solution for a pool tarp in my back yard. I must say, these worked perfectly. They were long enough to really bite into the soft ground, and go deep enough to hold strong. The thickness of the rebar is perfect to make pounding them into the ground easy with a small hammer, and they went in easily at an angle all the way to the metal ring portion, which I then used to anchor my tarp with some temporary string until I get more permanent bungee cords.Overall, I could not be more happy with this purchase. The ring welds on the tops of the rebar appear strong and solid. I did not have any issues with any single piece, and the ring size makes it easy to tie or attache multiple fasteners to the ring with ease. I can strongly recommend this product. These do come with a thick plastic like coating that is black and appears to be there to prevent rust formation. I did use some tape on the tops to prevent any potential injury, as these have the metal rebar top portion that is still exposed even when fully inserted into the ground.

Super Durable!
Bought 2 sets of these for Burning Man to steak down my tent and shade structure.Tested them out in my back yard first to make sure the welded "O" ring would hold up and to see if the black coating would stay put, both held up in testing.I found that a small sledgehammer is best for getting these into the ground (a regular hammer will work fine too but will take longer and you must be more precise with your strikes) and a regular claw hammer will get them out of the ground with a little wiggle back and forth. I also connected my ratchet straps to these "O" rings to for extra hold down in high winds out on the playa. Everything worked well, and there were a few decently windy days.I'm curious to see how many times these steaks can be used before the rings might give, but for a week in the high desert with extream weather, these guys did the trick. Much easier than having to "candy-cane" rebar. For safety, I would recommend getting tennis balls to cover the very end of the post and perhaps some neon safety ribbon in case the ball gets kicked off, particularly if you're using these in the dark.Overall a great buy, I just need to make a muslin bag for storage as the ends are VERY sharp for driving into the ground.

Primary use: rain fly over hammock
I will use these for multiple things but as of right now I use them on my hammock camping setup (I occasionally keep it setup outside with rain tarp and all). I previously used standard stakes from DSG and have been pleased but heavier rain/winds would pull the smaller stakes out. These I got mainly for the length and the loop on top and they have worked amazing. Had two of them in the ground for multiple weeks holding my rain tarp and they didn’t even pull out a little bit. The one bent slightly when hammering it in with a sledge hammer but not to the point on it being useless.

Hands down best tent stakes
These stakes will not pull out in high winds. They are easy to insert using a hammer and have handy loops that we use to hook the pre installed tent clasps to on rain fly. The hooks also can accommodate ropes to secure your rain fly.I have used these for years without a problem. They do not bend when Inserting them Into the ground.

A project life saver for us!
These have been a life saver. Maybe our use-case is different than most but I can not over-state how wonderful of a product we have here. The have some type of coating on the outside which should greatly extend the life by keeping rust away many years longer than normal. The loop at the end is a nice addition (we are not using it directly). The business end of these are extremely sharp (be very careful, they have a point much sharper than a large nail). Completely appreciate the product. We are putting up a fence around our yard out of 8 foot / 7 inches diameter posts and 6 foot wire to keep coyotes out of our yard. A few spots (due to rock), we were unable to dig more than 8 inches deep. Normally, that would never come close to holding any post. however, we drove two rebar into the sides of the hole at an angle so that only 4 inches stuck out of the ground. They were in there so good there was no flexing of any kind. Then we set the post and poured quickrete concrete in around it. By the next day you can swing from these posts and they do not so much as even wiggle.Next use case we used for bracing posts. The corner pieces leaning at 45 degrees to hold several hundred pounds of fence-stretching force. At the base of the brace-post, we drilled a hold and hammered on of these rebars thru the post and deep into the ground. It itsnt going anywhere.Fantastic!

As expected; good quality
Good quality product and convenient (due to the loops). They will bend a little in hard terrain but do the trick with proper hammering.

Not 1/2" rebar.
The product description claims these are made from 1/2" rebar. The box clearly states it is 3/8" rebar. The product code even says it. 3818RS => 3/8" x 18" Rebar Stake. I am keeping these because they are still useful for some of my projects, but I would not use them to stake down a large structure. The ring and attachment seem a little flimsy, but since the rebar is only 3/8", it is probably strong enough for this product.I wish the company did offer a 1/2" rebar product (YTF-1218RS?). At least I hope they fix the description on the product page.

Works well for "runway" Christmas Lights along my driveway
I have used plastic stakes for Christmas Lights that run alongside my driveway but these plastic stakes become brittle and break often. These tent stakes are strong and work well for this purpose. They are also tall enough to keep the lights above the snow for most snow falls.

solid
great stakes..solid construction. would be even better if there was a slightly bigger head on them..but still work great. I am using mine holding down my 10 ft blowups for christmas lawn ornaments.

They tend to bend if substrate is too hard.
I was using them to secure some 8x8 timbers to my driveway, so as to secure a 10 x 20 car shelter attached to the timbers. I was able to pre-drill the holes in the timbers and an inch or so of the underlaying asphalt. Initially I was so happy with my progress, but then the rebar started to bend. This was surprising in that they had gone in earlier. That said, with perseverance and patience they got the job done.

Great product.
Great product, just what we needed. Used to help anchor down our pop up garage. It’s a 8x20 which is a giant kite. The pegs were a saver.

Used for Burning Man
Used these stakes for Burning Man. They're a bit heavy to transport but they were plenty strong to hold down my tent! Definitely didn't worry about it flying away, even in the windiest of wind storms. The loops on the top also make it easy to secure tarps, rainflies, etc, and they're not sharp so you don't have to worry about cutting yourself. A much better solution than plain old rebar!
