The Times Codeword: 150 cracking logic puzzles (The Times Puzzle Books)

I do one of these each night before sleep to clear my head. They are the best versions I have found to date and offer a decent challenge without too many weird and wonderful creative words turning up. Very good value for so many opportunities to entertain.

A book of Times Codewords, does exactly what it says on the cover. Great for passing time on the train.

I really enjoyed these puzzles, they aren't obvious words in it. I suppose they reflect the vocabulary of the Times. The puzzles are definitely 5 star. The only reason I didnt give the book a 5 star is because the paper isn't great quality - and the ink comes off. If I am doing a puzzle on the right hand page, I put a piece of paper between that page and the next one so that the ink doesn't darken up the next puzzle when I write my answers in. The said, I do everything in green biro, it mightn't do that if people use a soft pencil.

This is a great book as I like code words so I thought I would give these ago. I haven’t done many but they are enjoyable but getting harder

The book starts with what they call 'easy' puzzles, then 'moderate' then 'difficult'. I got into the habit of doing two each night when I went to bed. They are sufficiently challenging to be interesting but not so difficult that you get frustrated and give up.

I have bought this as a second one for my son. Not only does it stretch the grey matter, but also gets you thinking about how our spelling is constructed and how teaching children to read by only using phonics is absolutely ridiculous.

I'm keen on codewords, can't get enough of them. This is an excellent collection graded from easy through medium to hard. Even the easy ones are challenging (more letters on offer) I can strongly recommend this well presented collection and for the faint hearted the answers are in the back!
