They're so cuteeeee
This was a whimsy purchase. I saw the cactus ones all over BuzzFeed articles and was originally going to buy those. After reading reviews of the quills falling out of the cactus I turned my eye to these fish. I read some reviews saying the eyes would fall off, or the quills would break but I've had mine for 4 months now and I do laundry with them 3 times a week, and mine look almost brand new. The white one the tips of the quills have started to turn black but that isn't a big deal for me. I haven't noticed my dryer has any black marks and my clothes come out fine.I can't say how well it actually works at cutting down the drying time in the regular laundry like clothes but I have noticed an improvement in my blankets and sheets. My blankets aren't getting tangled up and they are drying more uniformly. They do make noise during the cycle, sort of like there is something lose in your machine. After a bit, I got used to the sound but it is noticeable, so be prepared.I think they're really cute and fun to use, so for me that is enough to make this a happy purchase,

Fluffy cloths
Second set I purchased. Great for towels and comforters.

Loud
Wrap them up in the middle of the load or they are super loud. Even when you do that, they’re still loud. They are cute, but I prefer the felt dryer balls.

These really work!
Following sitting outside by a fire pit for Trick-or-Treating, I had to wash everything I had on when I got back home. The only things I needed to dry were my jeans, socks, and undies. That’s all that was in the dryer (while I was in the shower) and I was skeptical. To my amazement, everything was dry! I also got a chuckle when I saw that one of the “fish” got “stuck” sitting on one of those protrusions in the drum because of where it was when the dryer stopped and it was holding the undies hostage hanging down. 😂

Not sure it's helping with static but better than wool for essential oils
but I kind of love them. They don't stand up on their own, but a shallow soap-dish works if you don't want to keep them in the drier all the time (and they're very cute so I don't). I wanted them to reduce static and deliver scent. Not sure how helpful they are as re static; I think the wool actually did work better on that front; but dripping some essential oil on them before tossing them in works better than the wool balls did imo, and with these you don't have to commit to a particular scent forever as all the smell is on the clothes after the cycle, doesn't stay in the fish as it does the wool. And they don't get unpleasant looking although its possible the blue fish fades a little over time.

Fun Dryer Balls
Theses little puffer fish dryer balls are great! I already have a couple, and wanted a couple more, but they were no longer available at the site where I originally bought them. Then I was happy to find these. They do a great job of keeping dryer loads fluffed up, especially heavier items like blankets and jeans (which is why I wanted more - I use 4 of them in heavy dryer loads). But the best part is they're so darn cute!

Loud! But works as they say.
My laundry does dry more efficiently, keeps things turning and not balling up. Keeps towels and blankets soft! But they are loud! Knocking around all over.. our laundry is on our main level so we always hear them. Boyfriend and dog hate them. The white one has turned ombré black and white haha.. boyfriends clothes are majority dark.

I love these little buddies!
I love these things! Not only are they absolutely adorable, but they work so well! We use ours 3-4 times a week, and after a ton of use the only difference is that they’ve seemed to darken on their spikes. They’ve held up beautifully, and they seem very sturdy. They seem to cut down on the drying time by about 20 minutes, too. We’ve also noticed a huge difference in the amount of dog hair and fuzz that comes off our laundry loads thanks to these guys! With a great pyranees mix in the house, these dryer buddies have been a life saver during spring shedding. 5/5, will definitely buy again if my current buddies ever need to retire!

Clothes Can be Staticy, but Hydro bill Likes them!
Our friends recommended Dryer balls, as Husband was sick of static, and the dryer sheets are so messy and not environmentally friendly. The balls themselves are a hard plastic, so any easily torn fabrics (lace, etc.) I place into a garment bag, and I haven't had any clothing ruined. They do thump in the dryer - but what does one expect with a hard silicone plastic ball?? Just throw a towel in, and it helps muffle the sounds.I did have to make an anti static guard spray for more than half the clothes that come out, as there is STILL a lot of static issues. the anti static guard seems to help after hanging clothes after drying. They *have* cut the dryer time by at least 20-30 minutes, as the clothes are aerated during the drying process, so it has definitely cut down our electricity bill by a bit - so little static pain for saving money in both dryer sheets and the hydro bill = awesomeness.
