Brake Buster Wheel Cleaner - Non-Acid Formula, Removes Brake Dust, Dirt, & Corrosion

P&S has a solid lineup of detailing products at reasonable prices, and the Brake Buster Wheel Cleaner is another great option — with a caveat. It does an excellent job breaking down brake dust, dirt, and light corrosion, and for the amount you get, it’s a great value. However, in Arizona heat, it can dry far too quickly. I’ve had it flash-dry before I could rinse, which left marks on my rims and even some on the surrounding paint. Most of the time these come off easily with a quick reapplication and scrub, but it’s something to be mindful of. Using it with a foaming gun helps keep it wet longer, but that also dilutes the formula and reduces effectiveness. Overall, this is a wheel cleaner I’d still recommend, especially if you’re not working in extreme heat. Just make sure to work quickly, avoid direct sunlight, and rinse thoroughly to get the best results.

I’ve tried other reputable brands to remove brake dust, oil, and dirt from wheels and tires, and none has done the job like this P&S Brake Dust remover. It’s so good there’s no need for o reapply, and can be diluted in a 30/70 proportion, that’s 70% water and 30% this product. For better results, I use Destilled water for the mix and for rinsing, so no water spots are left. Once applied, let it sit for 3 mins then rinse. I rarely have to scrub the wheels, but just the tires. The use of a foam can is a most when applying it, because it can be sprayed evenly all over the wheels. Note: make sure to pressure-wash rinse thoroughly, not just a garden hose rinsing Pros: - Works instantly for removing dirt, oil and brake dust - No need for scrubbing the wheels most of the times, depending on how dirt they are - Product can be mixed 30/70 and still be super effective - Leaves no residue if rinse properly - Leaves wheels shiny - It can also be applied to the plastic fenders underside the tires - Since it’s anti corrosion, it won’t damage brake parts, all the opposite, will remove light corrosion. As advertised! Great product, makes washing wheels simple and easy! It cut through weeks of neglect in my wife’s car tires.

This product does exactly what it says it will. I bought the gallon and a pump as well as the 18 oz to refill. I’m writing this to warn anyone who has clear coated Brembo brakes on the car they will be using this product on. I sprayed it on tune brake calipers while spraying the wheels and it began removing my clearcoat more and more with each use. I had no issue before using this. Re cleared my Brembo brakes and stopped using this product and have had no issue since. If I use it again it will be with wheels removed from vehicle to avoid spraying it near calipers. I am a regular user of many P&S products and am very satisfied will all. Only this one I had this experience with and if you have standard, unpainted or powder coated calipers then spray away! Works great!

Great product! I dilute it 50/50 and put it in my pump foam sprayer and you can see the dirt and grime just run off.

It cleans wheels really well. The brake dust and other contaminates came off easily. A little goes a long way, so it's definitely worth it. It smells decent too. I mixed maybe about 3 ounces in a 5 gallon bucket of water (not sure about the mix ratio but a little will do). I will definitely buy again whenever I run out.

Works as described, did not dilute. Left on for 90 secs, used wheel brush to agitate before using high pressure water sprayer. Painted wheels not effected, or faded. Cleaned up 100%
