Excellent heatsink, one of the best purchases I have made!
I was honestly not expecting much when I ordered these for my NVMe SSD drives but I have been blown away by how well they work. I bought them to cool the SSDs in my laptop as they were thermal throttling when under heavy load, I would notice a marked slowdown once the Controller temperatures passed the 80C mark. The laptop is too thin for anything else so I figured maybe these copper heatsinks would help, they have exceeded all expectations! Each heatsink comes in a sealed plastic case with instructions, two non-conductive silicone thermal pads (0.5mm and 1.0mm), wipes to clean the SSD, and three rubber bands to attach the heatsink to the drive. I ended up not using the rubber bands and used kapton tape instead because my NVMe drives are single sided and the laptop is very thin. I needed to keep the heatsink+thermal pad (0.5mm) + drive (single sided) setup as thin as possible.Performance wise, my drives have not exceeded 58C on the NAND and 75c on the Controller. My temperatures before installing the heatsinks were 70C on the NAND and 89C on the Controller. My drives no longer thermal throttle and will happily handle any and all work that I throw their way, regardless of how heavy the workload is. I believe that the addition of these heatsinks has completely removed thermal throttling on my NVMe drives and improved the performance of my system.Anyone looking for a low profile and effective solution for NVMe thermal throttling should buy these heatsinks. They are well made, affordable, easy to install, and will provide immediate noticeable results in reducing temperatures on your NVMe drives. My experience has shown me that they offer phenomenal performance and benefit for the price so if you have a laptop with NVMe drives that throttle, buy this heatsink!

Installed easily
This installed easily and fit exactly like it should. As others have said the bands are hard to get on. I thought for sure I was going to break one, but amazingly they didn't break. The bands hold the copper heatsink on really well. The included thermal pads work well, you get two of different thickness I went with the thin one. This kit seems to keep my ssd cool. I wouldn't know a difference since I was repairing a laptop that didn't have an ssd to start with. I didn't install the new ssd without the pads to test it either. I can say it works so far as I haven't had any overheating issues as I program and compile lots of C code.

Cheap and works well enough
Honestly pretty cheap and works on my m.2 SSD. I had to use it on my Samsung 990 pro that I use as an external USB lol. It was overheating and this works well considering its just a thermal pad and a copper sheet,

Great heat dissipation. Perfect for laptop NVMe.
Simple and affordable heatsink for ssd your laptop. The band is strong and tight enough to push the plate to let the thermal pad snug as much surface of the ssd as possible. I do suspect however that the plate is not pure copper as it seems too heavy for a pure copper.

Surprised at how well it works in my laptop
When I saw this on Amazon I was skeptical that it would work. Lot of reviews seemed mixed but at the price I figured it was worth a shot. Installation was pretty easy. I used the 1mm thermal pad on the chip side then put the copper plate on top. The bands are a bit tough to install. I got two of them on either end so everything should hold very well. Before using the heat sink I installed 40GB game then ran a drive speed test to chart the temps. I ran the exact same test after installing the sink and saw favorable improvements. The heat was much slower to rise and capped around 4°C cooler at max. When the drive had lower usage on it it cooled much faster than before.TL;DR This heatsink works great in a laptop and cools the drive well. Worth the price.

Good Simple SSD Heatsink
It's just a good, nothing fancy, standard heatsink. It was quality made, correctly sized, and was of a nice decent thickness. It's not thin, flimsy, just for looks heatsink. It actually has a nice thickness to it that allows it to truly function as an effective heatsink whilst not being too thick and causing clearance issues inside of a laptop. It's also nice that it comes with two thicknesses of thermal pads which allows you to cut and custom fit them to actually get full contact across the entire length of the SSD and not just on the high spots. Which makes quite a difference in how it or any heatsink will perform. Overall I do recommend it, especially for the low price, and I would absolutely buy it again myself.

Simple and Works Well!
I put this heat-sink on a Samsung 970 EVO Plus that was running hot in my Dell G5 5590. I am seeing about a 15 degree Celsius cooler difference overall which is pretty significant for a laptop. Furthermore, the temp on the Samsung doesn't get too hot when working under load and when I am done working the drive hard, the temp comes down pretty quickly.Installation of the heat-sink is straightforward, I liked the instructions that came with the heat-sink. You are offered two thermal pads, a .5mm and a 1mm thick pad. I was able to use the thicker pad in my Dell with no problems. The pad will fit perfectly over the controller and nand chips. The Samsung EVO has a plastic label covering these chips, which if you remove will void the warranty afaik. I took mine off so that the thermal pad can have direct contact with the chips. For me it's worth voiding the warranty to have the direct contact with the thermal pad. Rubber bands are provided to hold the heat-sink in place. They work pretty well. This heat-sink kit is a no-brainier to me. I am happy with the purchase and will buy again should the need arise.
