A versatile and useful sun canopy
I've spent a while researching and looking at different sun canopy's for our camper van. Something that is quick and easy to put up but man enough to cope with British camping weather - so sun, rain and winds then (probably all in one day). The Wild Earth canopy certainly fits the bill. We've only used it for one trip so far, but found it easy to put up - especially with two people - might be more fiddly if you are doing it alone, but certainly not impossible. It's also really quick to pack down as well, all disappearing into a small bag that is ideal for storing permanently in the van.So likes and dislikes:Likes:Easy to put up (we have a multi-rail which makes a simple a reliable connection between the van and the canopy).Nice and large coverage - kept our camp of table, chairs and large dog bed well protected.Kept the inevitable rain off!Good secure lines provided (bright green for visibility) - so was stable even in a gusty breezeQuiet - didn't 'snap' or billow too much in wind which means you can leave it out all night and sleep well!Lots of configurations of pole lengths and canopy angles possible - although kept pretty basic for our first triesDislikes:Nothing so far, would be good to see how well it holds up in more challenging weather and to ensure it has a reliable and long life. But so far so good.

Better than Fiamma
I had my Fiamma awning stolen off my VW Transporter camper, and so I replaced it with this. It's bigger, cheaper, lighter, as easy to erect, more secure and it doesn't rattle or interfere with the air flow over the vehicle - so fuel economy will improve. It's more robust too as you can add guy ropes midway down each side which improves the geometry of the whole - a curved rather than just a flat surface. And it packs away to next to nothing, well almost. It's a joy!

Happy with my canopy
The poles aren’t the strongest or lightest around, and only four are supplied, but I supplement them with a couple of lightweight telescopic poles already in my possession. That said, the canopy is at the budget end of the spectrum and fares well in all other respects. The fabric looks good and feels like it would withstand some punishment from the elements. It’s easy to erect and fold down again; just a matter of a few minutes.

Versatile, well made, you will use it.
Really pleased over all. Quick to get up, versatile and well made. Quite a few configurations are possible with this tarp including stand alone shelter if you are savvy ( could be used to keep your spot ) . As a tarp it would be about £40 so paying the same(ish) again for poles and kador is what makes an 'awning'. The poles are on the flimsy side of sturdy but are suitable for purpose if guy roped down and the awning was stable and dry in some pretty heavy rain. I definitely recommend this for an everyday carry.

Great awning. Good value.
Fantastic bit of kit for your caravan or camper. It's sturdy nad copes with a good wind. Good sales service. Easy to erect in 10 minutes first time. highly recommended for sun or rain.

Good
This would be a 5 start review but the canopy let's itself down with the rubbish pegs.First time I used it I awoke to it flapping in the wind and all my chairs wet. The pegs had gotten ripped out of the ground by the wind. The problem is that the pegs supply all the support to the poles. If they fail then the whole thing collapses.I used it again with better pegs and it performed as expected.Mind you it was not windy at all. This is a fair weather cannopy don't expect it to work in high winds and sideways rain.Time will tell how long this will last but the canopy itself seems well made.
