The Legend of Battle Island: A Battle Royale Adventure

I’ve been reading it as a bedtime book to my 12 & 10 yr old boys and they’re hooked. I have to agree it’s done greatly. Can’t wait to see more because I know they’d read them!

I've been having difficulty getting my 8-year old son engaged in reading; he loves to call himself, "a mathematician genius who doesn't need to read". It's been a struggle finding any books that interests him at school and in our home. It was advised by his teacher that perhaps we need to get him books that he's interested in. He's read the Gamer Squad series that interested him more than any other books that he's read, but he still dragged his feet when it came time to read. However, he LOOOOOVED Battle Island! He plays Fortnite and loved to reference the book from the game. There was a lot of, "I know this, mama!!" Needless to say, he broke his record and finished his book in less than a week! He read over the required 20 minutes of reading per day on some days and that NEVER happens! ....the second book has been ordered. I only hope Matt Krover adds more to this collection! :)

I just finished reading this with my eight year old son who had briefly given up his nightly reading sessions with me because of his obsession of Fortnite. I’ve always believed we should read what they are interested in so I ordered this book. He LOVED it. I did not understand it all, but it wasn’t written for mommy, it was written for him. It was so fun him explaining parts of the book that was over my head and having conversations about something he is loving right now. Definitely recommend. Also- it’s not poorly written. We even discussed writer’s craft techniques of how to create suspense. (I’m a writing teacher in my defense!)

My 8 year old son enjoyed this book. Although he really does not like reading, this book at least kept his interest while I read it to him. I plan on buying more fortnite books to hopefully get him to read himself.

First, we bought this book used. It came in excellent condition. Second, my 9 yo son and I absolutely loved it. It is slightly above his reading level so we read a chapter or 2 every night before bed. He enjoyed it so much and as a Mom, it was well written and kept me entertained to. We just finished it tonight and bought the second book. We can't wait to see how Pete helps Mailman Dale. The author does a fabulous job communicating to boys in the 8-12 range with his type of writing. My son is also looking forward to sending him an email as he writes in his authors notes.

We love this book we read all of it we cannot wait for the next one it is very very very very good we’re gonna buy the sequel! 😀

1st grade advanced reader loved this book and the second one. Laughed out loud several times.

Great book. Son loves it.

This book starts at chapter nine and goes to chapter two, counting down. And then goes to chapter 10 and one. Chapter 9 down to chapter two all the words at the edge of the page are completely cut off, the book is useless and was going to be a gift for my son. Not happy!
