My Neighbor Totoro Lovely Automatic Clear Umbrella Telescopic umbrella UV Protection Daily Use (Blue)

Was torn between returning or keeping this umbrella. I want to keep it due to how cute this umbrella is and it is Totoro. The buttons took a few used to get the kinks out. I thought it retracts all the way but it only folds down but not retract. It took a bit of pushing and force to get down. When I first bought the umbrella, it needed air time because it was smelly, but after a few uses, it longer has a smell. Took it to a Japanese festival and got many complaints and prior stopping me to ask where I bought the umbrella.Updated review: After air time and working out the kinks, it is not a bad sun umbrella at all. Still need some elbow grease to push the darn thing down, but even than it is getting easier. We tested it to see if it will stand against rain. And it might help keep you dry for a minute or so, but the water did soaks through

Its cute and works well but I received mine with stain on the inside when I got it out of the packaging. Also the color is a little off. Totoro has a green tint to him and the dark shadow on his belly is a very obvious green in the light or dark. Should've gone with a different color. Hopefully I can get it replaced.Update: Fall of '17. It took awhile for me to update with everything going on, but the seller did refund my money. So thankfully I didn't have to pay for this but I did not receive a new one. Overall I am glad to have gotten a refund.

Freaking adorable!!! Seems pretty sturdy but we haven't had a lot of wind power yet. The strap to wrap the umbrella back up broke even before the first use so I had to stitch it back up again. Also the cover that comes with it is way too small for the umbrella after the first use (the umbrella poofs out and isn't able to fold so nicely as when it was delivered.) but I love love loveee the color and the characters look great! Pretty good quality purchase!

It was super cute and I was very hopeful until the day it rained and the umbrella segments that keep the shape broke with the first use. Rain was not very heavy and the wind was not very strong. Very disappointed

Cute umbrella, but the opening mechanism quit working after a few uses. It's also not wind resistant as advertized
