KATRINA NATURALS Sodium Free Salt Substitute, 3.5 OZ

After researching all the available salt substitutes, I was so happy to find one that didn’t contain any unhealthy added fillers and only had a few simple ingredients that is all that’s needed to make it taste similar to salt. We have been very satisfied with the taste of this one and feel like the company is credible and trustworthy in the quality and purity of this product. I’m also very impressed with the exceptional customer service in responding to my inquiry. As long as you are careful of how much overall potassium you’re consuming, and are not diagnosed with any kidney problems, this is an excellent alternative to salt. Just a sprinkle is all you need in dishes along with a herbal seasoning is perfect for a low sodium diet.

I must say it was packaged well and shipped promptly.I know that everyone's tastes and preferences are different but this is some of the most distasteful stuff I have ever consumed! It is worse than licking your fingers after applying cheap hand sanitizer. Or any hand sanitizer for that matter. And after almost two years of covid we all know what hand sanitizer tastes like; accidentally I hope and not deliberately. Although then again, I suppose these covid days could have pushed one beyond the limits into the realm of purposely licking the hand sanitizer. But I digress. There is nothing, even in one's wildest imaginations, about this product that even remotely resembles the taste of salt. It vaguely looks like salt but do not be deceived. It does not have a salty taste! It does not taste good at all!

Fair taste but expensive

This is the best overall salt replacement I have tried, And I have tried a lot.Depending on what I eat I still use NO SALT (Potassium Chloride) ,Saltneys (from the U.K.) an almost sodium free alternative ,Exsalt (Zalt) ,Mock salt ,Very Low Sodium Vegit ,Bensons Gourmet Table Tasty ,Nu Salt ,Salt for Life ,Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt ( A Flake shaped Salt which is easy to regulate ) and a few others. Spoiler Alert NONE taste just like salt.Changing from a high sodium diet to a LOW or ZERO sodium diet will take time to adjust , As you see from above it may take compromises and adaptive thinking.The owner of the patient for ALSO SALT saved the best for all of us to enjoy.

This is nasty tasting stuff. I am used to the Lite Salt from Morton's so this is an adjustment because it is sodium free. I have to supplement this in my diet so I just do it.

Reading the reviews I was anticipating a healthy alternative for salt. Wasn't for me flavor wise. Additionally be careful when you turn it over because the product is so fine it just "pours" out of the shaker.

My husband has to cut down on salt. We had been using Morton salt substitute. This one has lower potassium and a better flavor than Morton's. I use it in all my recipes, the same amount as regular salt.

I have been using Katarina Natural Salt Substitute since January 2016. I think this tastes more like salt than other salt substitutes. The best part of the product is the ingredients. It does not have all the bad stuff in it that other salt substitutes have. This is a much healthier way to season your food.
