Great, Big, Strong, Watch!
Wearing mine right now. As a matter of fact, only take it off if I have to. This watch keeps excellent time and is perfect for me. Yes it's big, but my eyes are not what they used to be. I would always use Casio watches, but I have found myself really having a hard time seeing the time. I started relying on my phone more and more, until now. This watch was very easy to set up compared to my Casio, and I have no problem seeing the time, day or night. This is a rugged watch as well. I am an out door kind of person and always getting myself into situations I shouldn't. This watch has taken all I have dished out and never missed a beat. It's big, but looks great! Easy to see, day, or night! Easy set up, and perfect for the outdoorsman. The only thing that I don't care for to much is the band. Not bad, but not great. I think I will be swapping it out for a Para cord wrist band. Just have to figure out where to get one for this watch. Anyway, all in all, a great watch and I highly recommend getting one if you have a hard time seeing close.

Big watch good features
I am only about a week into using this watch but so far I do love it. I looked at all the very helpful reviews and the biggest negative was the dark display. The display is not lit up unless you light it up with the illumination button, the remainder of the time it appears to be a reflective background behind the numbers that provide the "illumination". If you have daylight or room light you have bright numbers. That said, I have found the numbers readable under indoor artificial light any "daytime" conditions, even under stormy skies, at night the Indaglow system works very well. This is a large watch, I am a big person and it works well for me but I would caution anyone of smaller stature to consider the sizing chart in the product description. I like the features of the watch they all seem to be usable and time related. Time zones, stopwatch, elapsed time, multiple alarms, and even an event alert are user friendly.Durability, so far, is good but the watch face is large and I expect it to get dinged as time goes on. So far it has taken a couple of bangs on door frames and been bitten by a playful dog with no problem. I purchased this watch for its at a glance time, day, and date large display and stop watch feature. It has exceeded my expectations so far.

Updated after a year. Still a good watch.
I've worn Timex watches for years because of their decent price and durability. The last watch I had was the T49612 and I really liked that watch. This watch was a little cheaper and had the vibrating alarm function that wouldn't disrupt meetings or church. I run a large farming and ranch operation and needed a watch that is easy to read and won't be destroyed from daily work. The faceplate isn't protected as well as other Timex watches I've had and I'm afraid it will get scratched up while working on tractors or working cattle. The band isn't as beefy as the T49612's so I'm skeptical of how long it will hold up. I'm not a huge guy and this watch doesn't seem too bulky or oversized for my wrist. I'll update this review as time passes.Update: Been wearing this watch daily for almost a year now. Only recommendation I have is to make sure it's protected when welding. I have a bunch of burn marks on the face of the watch. The band is still holding up like new. I do wish that the vibration was a little stronger, sometimes I don't feel it if I'm on the tractor or driving through the fields. Still a great watch.

Just keeps getting better.
I'm really liking this watch!!! I've not had it out in the wilderness yet but I've bounced it of several door jams and counter tops so far and not a scratch. Out of the box I was surprised at the size of it. I expected bigger, but not this big, and my first thought was "what was I thinking". It looked circus big, like really big, Big big. Even with the wider band it still looked way oversize. Have to admit I'm not a fan of these kind of bands and was my plan from the beginning to mate this with "The Band" brand Velcro watch band. I became a fan of "The Band" in the 90's and have used them ever since. I paired the watch with a wide version and this really changed the look and brought the watch into proportion. So enough about the proportion issue.Overall use: I love the display! LOVE IT!!! It's big, It's bold, It stands out and there no second look needed to make sure you saw what you think you saw. (OK so I lied about the proportion comment, but big display goes with the size) The back light is perfect! The display is opposite/inverse of all the other Timex I've owned and hands down this is a thousand times better. I'll never go back to the standard LCD display. NEVER! I've not used any of my old watches since this purchase. They've been relegated to BOB's, EDC and Gym bags. The alarms are the standard tones my other Timex have been, the controls are pretty much the same which I like just for the familiar use. If you've been looking for a bigger dynamic display on a watch, are not intimidated by a larger watch or have bigger arms and hands, this is the ticket.Last note, Can't wait to get it out in the elements and really abuse this thing. My expectation is that it will perform as well as it's predecessors.
