Perfect for Your Metatarsal
These inserts for my metatarsal are perfect. I must walk in a way that I squeeze the metatarsal area and it was causing a great deal of pain. These inserts help my foot spread out so the nerve isn’t squeezed. The other thing I really like about them is that in my shoes that have a removable insole, I can put one of these inserts on the bottom and replace the insert so you don’t even see it in there. My issue is with my right foot, if the shoe/sandal doesn’t have a removable insole then I put the metatarsal pad on the top but if I can remove the insole then I use the left foot pad and put it upside down on the insole. Works perfect.

Better than they look
These looked too thin to be of much support, but I was happily surprised to find that they're perfect. They aren't too thick like some metatarsal arch supports, which can create new problems. Took off 1 point because am not sure how they'll hold up, especially for larger size people

2 podiatrists couldn't help me but these pads solved the problem
I like to hike but for years after a few miles of hiking I would get intense pain at the base of my toes. I would have to stop and wait 5 minutes or so before I could start again. Then the pain would come back over and over. I went to 2 foot doctors and they had no diagnosis or cure. I decided to try these (years ago, I just reordered for new shoes) and they immediately and permanently solved the problem. They were reasonably priced and I was ready to try anything. No more pain no matter how long or difficult the trail! I very rarely write reviews but I want other people to get relief and enjoy their walks. this time my pads came without directions but make sure you find directions online because they do not get placed where the pain is! They go just below the ball of the foot.

You'd better know where you want it
I've used metatarsal pads before but they have gotten so expensive and these were a little cheaper. They are also a little smaller but I don't know if that matters. The problem is once you put them on, there is no taking them off. Not only is it tricky for me to find exactly where they need to go, the pain on my foot will migrate sometimes and weeks later I may rearrange the pads in my shoes. I was still trying to adjust these before I realized that wasn't an option. So almost $8 down the drain. Stick to the fabric ones.

Would be good if the adhesive worked
These are the larger of two pairs I bought. The smaller would do me no good, as my neuroma is really bad and the small size, they one that is supposed to fit, is just too tiny. These would be very good, but the adhesive allows them to slip and slide. I have peeled them off and reset them at least 3 times already. They really move!

very helpful
yes ... placement is important but it works!

OK, but...
Decent... feels good, better than those lumps others sell.My only complaint is that the top surface is rubbery... and one's sock does not slide over the top, which creates a bit of an issue when one shoves one's foot into the shoe.Poor implementation... top surface needs to let the sock slide, and the adhesive does NOT allow one to move it, even after just one wearing. Designers: Back to the drawing board!!

Worked! but tough to put on shoes
These really do help my metatarsal issues nearly 100% but I hate how difficult it makes putting on my shoes now because my socks don't slip over the pad at all. I have to open up my shoes via the laces or tongue area as much as possible, but even then there's a horrendous "sock wedgie" going on.

Excellent product
I have severe arthritis in my metatarsal joint on one of my feet, which has been a huge problem. I do have custom orthotics which I use often. However, the orthotics do not fit well in certain shoes, especially hiking boots and my Blundstones winter boots. So I thought I would try these.I carefully placed them to locate them exactly where the metatarsal support is on my orthotics; there was some trial and error which meant putting them in and then pulling them off and relocating them. I was worried that the adhesive might be compromised by repeatedly placing them and then peeling them off the insoles. They worked beautifully. I have had them in for months and they are still sticking in place very well, and they are almost as effective as my orthotics in avoiding foot pain.Tip: remove your shoe insoles first, then place the pads where you think they should go and then replace the insoles over top and try them. That way if there is any reduction in the adhesive strength, it won't matter because they are hidden under the insoles. Also note they do NOT go under the arch of your foot, but just behind the metatarsal joint (ie just to the rear of the ball of your foot) close to the inside (instep) slide of the foot. If you aren't used to wearing orthotics, they will feel a little odd until you get used to them.

Game changer
These were transformational for a 4th metatarsal issue. Put onto them by my podiatrist after tear shaped pads weren’t cutting the mustard! Can now walk kilometres with no issues.

Zero Overall Rating
Received these, did not work, could not place them on my feet and into the shoes. The WORST PART IS TRYING TO RETURN THESE. Intelcom i s supposed to Pick up returns from residence the next business day. It's been 9 days! I have emailed Amazon.ca - no reply. I called Intelcom 4 days ago, supposedly pick up next day. Did not happen. Here I am on the phone again on hold .... Terrible Service!
