Don't Bother
This book, which is really a pamphlet, is worthless. The book provides the ideas of someone casually musing the choice of a college major. There is no data provided. It is so inadequate a reference that the cover has as much advice as the inside content. I plan to return it.

Too simplistic and does not provide enough detail
If I could give this no stars, I would. It is not a book, but a pamphlet that thanks you for "downloading it" The content is too high level and does not provide enough detail to help students make college major decisions. Purchased "Panicked Student's Guide to Choosing a College Major" and it is much better at linking college majors to careers and potential salaries.

Great college help
Trying to figure out what you want to be when you grow up at the age of 17 isn't easy. I remember doing this and sort of missed the mark. However, it's time for my son to start picking colleges and we have to take a good look at this together so we purchased Caesar Lincoln's "College Majors". This has been helpful in so many ways - with questions and information that I wish I had had access to at this age. With chapters on finding your true passion, taking a look at your skills, and taking a look at profitable majors, this is great book that has helped us tremendously.

No bargain
Wish I had read the reviews. This is not a book. It is a pamphlet and offers insufficient, undeveloped information. Do not waste your money.

Re-emphasizes common sense approach.
Nothing groundbreaking, but solid advice and direction for a student that needs to hear it from a book instead of a parent.

Hits the spot!
Oh my goodness! Where was this book when I was in my last year of high school?! I feel like if I had read this book then, that I could have gotten to an end result so...much...faster. Instead I floundered around for quite a while and just landed into a degree that I thoroughly enjoy, based on faith reasons. Even though I've chosen my major now - Theology and Performing Arts, I wanted to see if I had made wise choices along my way. Luckily, the book had a whole chapter on doing what you're passionate about which was fantastic to read as I'm super keen on seeing people doing what they love to do! The book also has other really useful sections to do with finances and seeking outside help. Throughout "College majors" there is a good sprinkling of sound, solid advice and I love that the book provokes the reader to ask questions of themselves and engage in deeper thought about what to do with their lives beyond college - wonderful. My wholehearted and honest opinion of this e-book is that anyone and everyone who is having to make the `college major' decision anywhere in the near future should read this. It is definitely worth it. Many common ideas are discussed as well as bits and pieces that we are so often not told about but that are incredibly useful. I also believe this book to be helpful because, unlike friends and family, there is no bias towards certain things such as `which will make the most money?', `which is the most respectable?' and `what has my family done for years?' Independent thinking is truly encouraged and I think this book is a blessing in disguise.
