Lazer Trokar Drop Shot Hook

Best hooks ever, pricey, but definitely are noticeably better , only hooks I’d say come close are owner, and still the gap is pretty big. Haven’t bent one or snapped one yet, and haven’t seen any rust in my tackle box after multiple saltwater uses.

Easy hook sets, work wonderful and Ive housed just about every brand out there and some of the others work good too but these just seem to snag a few more on average then the others and they seem to stay on Way better once they hook themselves, Yup they hook themselves when they see your using Trokar hooks they’ll just swim on over to your line and set the hook on themselves and give up because they know if a Trokars is tied on Then Fish 🎣 ON...

Nice hooks, very sharp. The thing I'd like to see changed is that the barb is not that big. Seems like fish can get off - so if you use, be sure to keep the pressure on the fish.

After not being able to get a good hook set with another brand, I thought I'd try the Lazer Trokar hooks to see if they really take less effort to set the hook.Although clearly described as a drop-shot hook, the photo shows a hook with an offset eye that looks just like the Octopus-style hooks offered by several other manufacturers, and I thought I'd take a chance on these.These hooks are nearly straight, inline eye, hooks. There is the slightest bed at the eye - at most, it's one degree of offset from the shank of the hook. They look nothing like the photo. They look like the photo of the Gamakatsu drop shot hooks. Live and learn.But my rating isn't only based on my disappointment that they don't resemble an Octopus hook:These are the smallest Size 1 hooks I've ever seen. The distance from shank to hook is exactly the same as it is on my Size 2 Gamakatsu and Size 2 Mustad drop shot hooks. I know there's some variation to be expected between manufacturers, and that there are no real "standards" for hook sizes, but the variation should never be a full hook size. I live in an area where fishing regulations rigidly control allowed hook sizes, and being off by a full size is unacceptable.I don't think they are sharper than a Gamakatsu hook. I'm forever poking my poor thumb then I snell hooks, and these Trokars don't seem to be poking me any deeper or more painfully than Gamakatsu hooks can poke me.It seems to me that these hooks are more hype than reality, and they're way too expensive to not deliver on that hype.I will never recommend them.

These hooks are extremely sharp. Hook up and stay hooked. Will definitely buy these again.
