Famous Art Kits Van Gogh Poppies Paint by Number Kit 11" x 14"

This was my first painting from this company and I really enjoyed it. In the past I've done regular Paint-by-Number kits but this was more challenging and actually teaches you a few techniques. The paint quality was excellent. The one thing that surprised me was how thin the cardboard is, it's not really art board like the listing says, it's more like a thick business card. I was worried it would be too wobbly on my easel but it was fine. I agree with another reviewer that the light blue paint is too light to achieve the look shown, I added some darker blue paint from another kit and was happy with the result. Keep in mind that this painting doesn't take as much time to complete compared to a detailed Paint-by-Number kit, I was finished in a few days.I will order another painting from this seller.

I enjoyed this take on paint by number very much. It is much more your own as only a general sketch is given so your brush strokes are your own. The paint board provided is not the greatest quality, it will warp and absorbs water, but will flatten again when dry. The paint provided is fluid so don't add any water and if you want texture, you will need to get a medium to thicken it. I have done three from this company and would do more. Overall, they are a great product and helped me transition from paint by number to my own work. This turned out to be my favorite so far. I reworked the poppies at least three times and ended up with a painting I really like, plus I learned a lot!!

Really enjoyed this project. Second Famous Art Kit for me (first was "Almond Blossoms."As I was painting, I said to myself, "This doesn't look anything like the picture." Then when I got to the step of painting thecorners of the painting blue and then white with the dry brush technique, it pops! The picture comes alive.So much more pleasant than those microscopic numbers. And the finished product looks much better than that "paint by number look."Note: The blue paint in this kit (powder blue) isn't the right shade for the picture, so I substituted a medium blue acrylic paint I already have.

This was a fun project! Having no artistic talent at all I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome! The materials were good quality and the directions excellent! The only complaint I have is that the #7 light blue didn't provide the blue needed in the background. Mine looked gray. I finally grabbed a bue out of another kit and it turned out perfect! Can't wait to frame and hang!

I really enjoyed this painting. It arrived as promised. Some other paintings I have purchased from others have come with paint that was sticky. That is not the case with this seller! It was good.

I'm not a artist by any means but this is easy to follow and good for almost any level. It's worth the money to try your skill.

Instructions were simple to follow, product was great quality. Tons of fun for adults or older teens. My wife (27) was temporarily in a wheelchair and this provided a solid two days of fun for her with a great sense of accomplishment.

This is not a typical paint by number. Over priced. BUT the quality is nice.
