Great read
I never thought a non-fiction book could be a page turner but this one is it. I blew through it in under one week which is pretty fast for me! As an American who is relatively new to European soccer/football, this book really gave me a lot of insight into the Premier League. Have you ever looked at the list of Prem champions and wondered how and why Blackburn Rovers snuck their way onto that list? This book goes over a lot of interesting stories like that. It’s non-fiction but reads like a novel. I highly recommend it.

Amazing
Honestly the best book I've read in a while. I'm new to soccer and I couldn't put it down. I recommend this book to anyone, soccer fan or not. I didn't want it to end it was so good. I'm surprised it hasn't been turned into a movie or TV series yet.

Wish I would have read this when it came out.
I'm a casual EPL fan at best, but really enjoyed the history and the way the authors served the stories together.

How English Football Became a Cash Super-Cow
English football used to be drunk fans beating each other up in stadiums made of wood and chicken wire. Today it's corporate and very profitable. Book explains how the sport built US-style stadiums and monetized everything possible. US football is #1 in only one country, while soccer-football is supreme in 150-plus. TV rights go for zillions! This is both a sports and business book, showing how upgrading facilities and looking for every possible revenue source can increase profits.

One of the best written books
This is a fantastic place to start if you're interested in football/the premier league. It reads like fiction, but is very well researched and written. It keeps you interested, laughing and most importantly tells the tale of how we got here in a very clear and gripping manner.

MUST READ FOR EVERYONE IN THE FOOTBALL INDUSTRY
I have been working in this incredible industry for the last five years. In order to get updated about best practices and trends, I try to read every book related to football management. Until now "The ball does not go in by chance" (Soriano) and "Soccernomics" were the holy grail for me. Until the moment I started to read "The Club", which has exact quantities of everything we expect for (novel, real facts, historical football matches, trends in the industry, etc.). Without any doubt, I will buy more copies in order to share with my friends inside and outside the industry. Thanks to the authors for such a wonderful book! Gustavo
