Great Product but Requires a Few Extra Tools
In short; This was brilliant product that made a great gift and it was loved and enjoyed by its receiver. I would have awarded more stars had it not required cutting extra bits out to fit together (as stated by the person I gifted to). Updated * I said the price was high, it may have reduced as the current one seems reasonable.I brought this product as a secret santa gift for a work friend so my review is mostly based on his experience with the product. He is a keen D&D player and enjoys making parts for the game so I thought this gift would be perfect and it was. He absolutely loved it! The product arrived in good time and was packaged well. I have rated the product 4 stars instead of 5 because of the additional tools required to build the dice box.The assembly took just over an hour and required sanding some pieces down so they would fit properly and using oil to make the gears work smoother. Personally this wouldn't bother me too much but if you didn't have the tools to hand could be rather frustrating and add an extra expense. I would defiantly recommend these products for gifts and personal use but just be aware that you may need a few tools for minor wood work. Overall a good product that will make an excellent gift for a DIY D&D player.

Instructions we appauling
It looks nice when finished, but some of the cutting wasn't great and I had to do some considerable sanding (and re-waxing/oil) before the parts moved smoothly together. The big let down is the instructions. You get to a certain point, and then it jumps to the next step and you think "how did that happen?". Once you work it out, it's obvious, but colouring the new part from the existing pieces would help. Some companies, for example, grey out the existing stuff which makes it easier to see where the new bit is going. The wood on wood on wood colour scheme was difficult at times.

More challenging than you think
Boyfriends into dnd games so thought this would be a good gift so he can store his die. We've had puzzle kits like this before but not from this manufacturer.Instructions weren't the easiest to follow, some pieces broke easily when trying to fit into place which is frustrating and the moving parts needed to be sanded down and then have wax put on them to make it easier to move.Interesting but wouldn't get again

Excellent - but assembly is not for the faint-hearted
I have always wanted a customisable DM screen as I play a lot of different games and like the ability to put in my own notes. This is a fantastic product that does all I need it to. It has A4 panels so that I can store my notes. It folds up excellently to save travel space and the incorporated dice tower works for all polyhedral dice well with no sticking so far.As can be seen in the photos, I also ordered a few A4 glossy posters to fill in the panels and this customiseable design was a huge draw for me as I can change them out to suit the game I am DM'ing at the time. These have not affected the closing of the screen mechanisms even when I add in A4 sheets facing me during the game.Just be aware that the assembly is quite difficult so I would not recommend this as a present for anyone with reduced dexterity or for under - 12's unless you are going to build it with them or yourself and then present it to them complete. The instructions are easy enough to follow, but it requires a lot of finger strength and know-how to complete the project. However, it is absolutely worth it!!

Assembly quandary?
The box was bought for a gift. I'm told the pieces are solid and good quality. Needs patience to remove them without breaking which is fine. Assembling it is appearing to be more difficult. You need to be gentle as not to snap the intricate pieces but it is needing some brute force to actually join the pieces together. Isnt yet assembled for fear of breaking it. . Maybe there is a technique to it?. . But is currently work in progress.. Any advice would be appreciated!P.s you need a small candle as wax is required to lubricate the joints.

Gorgeous Smart Design
Took me about an hour and a half to put together which was more joy than frustration. The pieces are a good size and not too small and fiddly. Practically its really useful for my cards with the added bonus of it being great to look at. There are one or two spares in the box which is useful. Only negative is the latch feels very brittle so I will permanently be helping it in the open position to avoid damage.

Excellent device!
I like board games and was looking for some accessories for them. I just wanted something special, not usual one. I have some Ugears models, so I was wondering when Ugears introduces new devices for games. Finally, I’ve found this spectacular Card Holder. This is a wooden kit, which you need to assemble first, and after that, it becomes a box for playing cards. Was easy to assemble it. The final result looks great! Now undertake over the next device)

Beautiful but impractical.
It's beautiful. Just tricky enough to put together with my 11 year old. However none of our card games fit in it (unstable unicorns, exploding kittens, flux, magic) and when th cards are in, when its moved back to the upright position it just sits all the cards out. Totally impractical for any game. Hopefully we'll find something else to do with it.
