works as expected
Appears to be good quality brass. Functions properly (more than I can say for some other similar products on Amazon). Has be installed for about a month but time will tell how well it works long term

Works, I think
Don't see much difference with a regular breaker valve. It worked better for me because the part where the hose screws onto is longer and allows me to screw on the end of the hose. The regular break valves are too short

Didn’t work for me - water leaks out side.
Waste of money. Didn’t work for me. Leaks.

Well Made and Easy Installation
After doing some research I purchased a pair of these vacuum breakers to replace older ones that I have had in place for years. The old ones worked, but they were starting to leak and it was not uncommon to get sprayed with water from the side when turning the water on, even with nothing attached. It was my hope that these would work better, and so far they are working properly and are a step up from what I had.The old vacuum breakers that were installed required manual effort to drain them, while these are self-draining. While I did not mind draining the old ones as it took seconds, I do like not having to fiddle with that anymore. This is very much an install-and-forget product.Installation literally took a few seconds and was easier than attaching a hose to the faucet. It required no tools and I was able to hand-tighten them to the point that they would not leak. I did use a wrench after that point just to get them nice and tight, but this wasn’t a necessary step. These come with a break-off screw so that they can be permanently attached. Your mileage may vary here – the old vacuum breakers had these screws as well, and they simply rusted away completely over time. I am not sure if the screws with these will corrode or rust, too. Regardless, I elected to remove them completely for now. These are only necessary if you wish to permanently install the vacuum breakers. The old vacuum breakers would spray water out the sides after years of service and finally getting full of dirt and rust, and this was true with or without having a hose attached. This was related to the manual draining mechanism. These vacuum breakers are designed differently so there is no place for the water to come out the sides if they’re properly installed and have structural integrity. The assembly is solid brass with a durable plastic stopper valve. This appears to be well-made and should hold up well through the seasons.I have had these about a week so there hasn’t been much chance for these to malfunction, break or clog, but all indicators are that these are solid and will work over the long haul. This isn’t the kind of product you go off and buy on a whim but rather is something you usually purchase to answer an immediate need. These are a nice upgrade from manual-drain vacuum breakers and they seen to be made well, at a reasonable price point.
