Love everything about these placemats. They are sturdy, attractive, and have multiple uses. It was hard to find round placemats in a natural material.

I was looking for a nice placemat that would stop transfer of hot paper plates to my ddi big table. This does the trick, it’s a thicker woven mat and we’ve been enjoying them. They aren’t huge placemats, we have a round 4 seater dining table and the size is perfect

Great placemats! They do the job and look great.

There’s no question these placemats are natural. The jute is twisted into ropes woven into a circle. The fiber is coarse. They are clearly handcrafted — and less perfect than they look in the product image.I had to look up what jute is. It’s a vegetable fiber grown in tropical countries. It’s cheap to produce. It’s used to make ropes and coarse fabrics like burlap. Jute fibers are stronger than cotton fibers.So these placemats are thick and very sturdy. I like the fact that they are also soft and flexible. I like to heat up my plates, and when I put a red hot plate on one of these placemats, it’s easy to carry to carry the plate from the countertop to the table cradled in the placemat. The size of the placemats works very well with a standard dinner plate.The placemats do have a slight smell. My husband finds the smell hardly noticeable, inoffensive and very natural. But I’m somewhat bothered by it. This is the main drawback of these placemats for me.

I love these I just wish they were a tad bigger. But I’ve put them in the washer and let them air dry and they haven’t fallen apart.

Good quality but not as large as expected. Ended up returning due to small size.

These placemats are just what I wanted for a casual, cottage look. They are a beautiful, natural color and a good thickness... not super thin like some. They are slightly larger than my 11-inch dinner plates so they leave plenty of room on the table for glasses, silverware, etc.

This was exactly what I needed for my dining table! Perfect fit!

I really like these. Super stylish. They do tend to shed a bit but nothing a vacuume can’t handle.

Using for crafts….haven’t started yet….so can’t really say how they would wrk for use a placemat
