Instructions are a little vague, would have been helpful to have the status of the LED explained. Buttons are also a little sticky out of the packing as well.I installed these on a storage space. It took me a bit to figure out what the LED meant - Solid = Armed, flashing means disarmed. Also took me bit to figure out that if you are arming it without the magnet in place, you need to wait until the LED goes out after arming before closing the door in order for it to work.They're kind of a pain to work with, but the price is right.

So far so good. I bought 3 of these, despite the negative reviews, simply because they’re only ones I could find that use AA batteries (which I have an abundance of.) I was pleasantly surprised...was expecting something much worse after reading reviews.Yes, the plastic is cheap. Doesn’t matter to me. Keypads on all 3 work just fine. Motion detection is perfect. Only one of the units can’t be easily turned off with the code when tripped, but does shut off after a few minutes.All of the units I bought were warehouse deals (used/returns), and work just fine. If you’re just looking for something simple and loud, these will work.Btw, Rev. K.’s instructions in the top review are correct. Very helpful, thanks!

I was going to return it since it doesn't always work but I kept it to use as an additional alarm.

Don’t buy. Junk. Never worked right would not buy this cheap junk

Quality control is okay. The device performs as intended however dialing random numbers and waiting even days will still cause the dialed numbers to be remembered in the system, making the user believe they're typing the wrong code if they try to add any numbers, resulting in the code entered incorrectly according to the alarm. This is due to the fact that the entered numbers do not clear out of memory no matter how long you wait, but if you hit the * or # keys the memory clears and will perform that action if the code is right. This alarm keypad is based off the Bell & Howell SecurePro keypad which works the exact same way.Update 4/11/2024 - The keypads have quit working. New ones had a bad reed switch and they would not sense a door open/close. Docking 3 stars for this quality control malfunction.

Easy to install protection for sheds or outbuildings! The motion detection seems to work fine but I can't rate how weatherproof it until it's been in place for awhile is so I chose 3 stars.
