Just like the old days
Looking for a press like my mother has had for 70 years. This is as close as you get. This works great but it’s size maybe a little big for the ladies. It is a workout for me with cheese straws and I am 6’3” 200 lbs. Something less thick than my straws may not be an issue.Initial clean up has been an issue but is getting better. Came with an oil or something coating, most of, if not all the tool. I have cleaned it several times but still have issues with some blackish substance coming off. It is hiding somewhere.

Great for Cheese Straws
After I broke a Kuhn cookie press, I researched and found this cookie press. Wow! Like night and day. Compared to the Kuhn that was hard/impossible to use with cheese straw dough, this cookie press worked perfectly and was easy to use. I also made butter cookies also perfect. This unit only offers 4 patterns but I will only use for cheese straws and basic cookies. Highly recommend.

Better than the plastic options
Struggled with several plastic versions until I settled on this and was extremely happy with the improvement and ease of use. Just a pain to clean but worth it

Great for making cheese straws, needs a stronger die
I bought and use this press for one thing only, making southern style cheese straws. Cheese straws that I may one day sell on Amazon. Cheese straw dough is dense. it's basically cheese, butter, flour. I had a previous press that had a narrower cylinder and tighter threads on the main crank screw. I welded a drill bit onto the back of the handle to extrude the dough. The threads on the main crank screw are around 9 threads per inch. My previous press was double that and narrower. The wider cylinder and the lower thread count on the main screw means that it requires a lot of power to turn the crank. The die through which the dough is extruded that comes with the unit isn't as strong or robust as the cylinder or the ring that holds the die in place. I had a new die (star shape) cut from 2mm stainless steel that works wonderfully. I mount the press on a bench vice that is secured to my counter and am able to turn the crank with one hand while my other hand is free to handle the extruded dough. This setup works well for me. If I do decide to launch a cheese straw business, I might look at ways to mechanize the extrusion process. But until then, this product works well, except for the somewhat flimsy die that comes with it.This product would get 5 stars if it came with 5 strong usable dies rather than one weak one that allows for the user to select one of five shapes.

Not what I was looking for
I wanted to make bakery style butter cookies that I could dip one end in chocolate. The tips on this gun were not thick enough for the size cookie I wanted. Also, the crank design is awkward.

Tough cookie press
I have gone through 3 other cookie presses making cheese straws. The screw design based upon the 1800’s Swedish original Works the dough smoothly.

Well constructed
Well constructed and it can be completely disassembled for proper cleaning. It was exactly what I have been looking for to make the spritz biscuits I grew up with. My husband could not stop eating the first tray, while I was still working on the next tray. I will give it few more chances with different dough recipes, hoping to keep it. I would have given it more stars, but unfortunately it has few shortcomings:- The dough is leaking badly around all parts at the the spritzing and behind the pushing rod. It is a bit messy because of that.- When I took it apart at the end of the job, I found dough worth of 3-4 cookies at least still inside the cylinder. I rolled them by hand (no wasted dough!).- Another annoying thing was the nut holding the handle kept unscrewing itself while cranking.- Disappointed it is made entirely of aluminum, not quite healthy for my personal preferences and standards on kitchen utensils..

La pâte doit être très molle
Bon pour faire des biscuits mais il faudrait une poigner pour retenir le mouvement de la vis

Not for biscuits
Not good for making hard biscuits, the plate bends and really hard to use when the dough is harder. For soft cookies might be okay, haven't tried as returned and refunded.

Ok needs practice.
Needs a lot of practice to use . I found it ungainly but I am in a wheelchair and the height was cumbersome and painful for me.
