Just What I Wanted!!
First, a bit about which shade is which---the descriptions here can be confusing and the pictures don't always match up with the product you're ordering. For 2007-2015 Wranglers, 2 or 4 door, all the product numbers begin with 13579., followed by two digits which designate which body style and how much of that style the shade will cover. Here's the breakdown: .06 07-15 JK 2 door only. Covers from the windshield over the sound bar to the rear of the roll bars where they begin to turn down. .04 07-15 JK or JKU (2 door OR 4 door.). Covers the front seat area only from the windshield to the sound bar. Shorter than the .06 version. .05 07-15 JKU (4 door only.) Covers from the windshield all the way back to the rear cross bar, the one with the interior light attached to it. This is the one I purchased. I installed this on a 2013 Sahara Unlimited with soft top. I can't say how it will work with a hard top that has the removable panels. The instructions include specific directions for those with that configuration. Installation was easy. Took about 20 minutes. The bungee cords will work around any attachments you might have hanging off the roll bars. One suggestion: the instructions have you first attach the velcro tabs to the front "footmen" which are the brackets the soft top clamps onto. There's three footmen and there's 4 velcro tabs The footman at the center of the windshield gets 2 velcro tabs, the footmen where the top clamps go get one tab each. The instruction photos don't show the middle footman. Nor do they show the two bungee cords sewn into the front hem, each with a small plastic hook on the end. These hooks go into the footmen and add some rigidity to the front attachment of the shade. I suggest you make the front velcro tabs as tight as possible so that when you un-velcro them when re-latching the soft top (you have to do this in order to allow the top clamps to work) it makes them easier to redo the next time you put the top up. I would guess the shade blocks about 40-50% of the light, just enough to cut a blazing sun. On the road at highway speeds there is no noticeable flapping noise. In fact, my wife said it actually cuts the buffeting. I can't say how the bungees and the mesh will hold up long term to the effects of sunlight. Only time will tell, but the shade does come with a 5 year warranty. I like the fact you can keep the screen installed year-round even with the soft top in the "winter" position (down an latched.) Also, the shade will prevent sagging and water pooling if you cover the jeep in rainy weather. I find this a big plus. If you drive your Wrangler in the "open air" mode this shade looks to be just the ticket. Tight fit, economical and adds to the enjoyment of your open air motoring. A definite 5 star product! ETA 9-5-15 Some factual errors in the original review (my bad, I missed one complete step): 1. The instructions do indeed include reference to the center footman and how to attach the TWO velcro tabs, one of which may be cut off should you desire. 2. Additionally the instructions do include reference to the bungee cords with hooks for attachment to the footmen. We just returned from 5 days in the Outer Banks which included a 2 1/2 hour trip to get there (and the same to return.) I am revising my star rating to SIX (6) Stars!!

2017 Wrangler Sahara 4 door
Great product. The sun shade is very well constructed and designed. I went through three brands and this was by far the best designed and constructed. The material feels very durable. Unlike other shades, the bungees are built into this shade so you will not lose them. The bungees are very strong and fit perfectly. There are also hooks on the front end that make installation ultra easy. I can also put my soft top down with this shade. I just have to unhook a few bungee hooks up front and that's it. Adds maybe 3 seconds. I do not have a hard top so I cannot speak to that. The shade eliminates just enough of the sun to make sitting in traffic at 105 degrees w/ 90% humidity bearable.

Awesome product
Used on soft top 2015 Wrangler JKU. Installation is quick and simple (~10mins tops with 2 ppl). Love the convenience of how this stays in place with soft top up or down. Love how it's a low-profile shade that you don't really see from outside of the vehicle. With the top up this also helps the interior roof of the jeep look more like an actual cars roof (you'll understand when you install it). Top down this thing not only cuts the sun down, while allowing for sky views, but really knocks the heat down. I have not noticed a reduction in wind gusting, as other reviewers have said, but that's okay. Product does its job well and stays in place. Would highly recommend.

This is what I wanted
This is a nice top and I'm happy with the purchase. The material seems pretty durable and it installs quick. I had it on in less than 10 minutes. You don't need to take the rear top completely off to install it. Just loosen the bolts that hold it on and push it up enough to work the mesh over the middle bar. After using this for a couple of days, driving on surface streets and the freeway, I can say this was a great choice for me. I get the open air feeling but it keeps most of the wind out. My hair doesn't blow much at all and I can see look up and see the moon at night. Awesome! One thing though...when you get it, open it and make sure it's the full top. The box only shows the bikini version and I didn't open it to make sure before preparing to send it back. I do want to mention that the seller, CSE Off Road was really snappy about wanting to fix my "issue" which turned out not to be an issue at all once I got past the confusing packaging by Rugged Ridge. They responded quickly to my message and were very willing to make sure I was happy. Nice Job CSE Off Road. 06-10-15 Update: I still love using this top without the freedom top on, it's great for that, but I thought I should make a comment about the ability to keep this mesh top on with the freedom top on. It’s been said you can leave this product on even with the freedom top on, but there is an issue that can be a pain. Problem #1: If you have the mesh top on and you need to put the freedom top back on you need to: undo the front Velcro straps, the front bungee cords, and the 6 side bungee cords so you can reach the 3 turn-locks on the rearmost portion of the freedom top. Otherwise, the mesh top covers the rear locks on the freedom top and you cannot reach them. See the pictures to see what I’m talking about. Problem #2: Now that you have undone the front section of the mesh, and put the freedom top back on, you cannot even partially reinstall the front seat portion of the mesh top because it is a serious pain to wrap the 6 side bungees around the bars at the sides of the freedom top which leaves the entire front seat section of the mesh top hanging down just behind the front seats. You could probably work out something that might work but again, it’s a pain. So, yes, you can leave the mesh top in place and keep the freedom top on, but only half of it. I found a way to handle the excess material by using a couple reusable zip closures and rolling up the excess so it doesn’t hang down and "partition" off the back seats. When I'm ready to take the freedom tops off, just take them off and put them in the bag, then undo the zip closures and reconnect the front section of the mesh. If I’ve got this all wrong, or if someone found the same problem but has a better method, please comment on my post and let me know.

THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR JEEP OWNERS. I was looking for weeks prior to spending money on a wind/ sun shade. I couldn’t be more happier! This sun shade is very durable and strong. It blocks the sun out to 50% to 60% and it doesn’t make a noise! I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend! When I have my soft top half way back (back is covered) this top also keeps out bugs! Installed in 15 minutes, it is pretty tight to get on but that’s why it doesn’t make noise in the wind. Thank you Rugged Ridge!

This is the second one I’ve bought. My first one lasted 10 years of continuous use and the only reason why I’m replacing it is because the sun has faded it out. I’ve tried cheaper ones, but they tend to flutter in the wind. I’ve had no concerns with fluttering with this one.
