Practical, sturdy and good looking messenger bag
I purchased this vintage retro canvas messenger bag to use on an international trip to a location known for its pick pockets. I wanted to keep my personal items as safe as possible and this bag fits the bill. First, the strap is long enough so that you can wear it cross body, making it near impossible for it to be grabbed off of you. Second, the snaps that keep the flap secure over the main body of the bag are strong. If a criminal can get those things open without me knowing it they deserve to get my wallet! There are four zippered pockets, of varying sizes and dimensions in this bag. The main body is large enough to carry a wallet, some books or small packages. The outside zippered picket is perfect for things like travel book or paper maps (if people still use those things). The zippered pocket on the front flap is similar to the back one. Inside the bag there is one zippered picket that is s good size for a small wallet, change, etc. There are also four compartments inside the bag-two are mesh and two are of the same kind of material that makes up the inside of the bag itself. These are a good size for holding a phone, glasses, etc. Finally, there are pockets on both ends of the bag that are covered by a Velcro flap. They are not big enough to safely carry a phone or the right configuration for a water bottle, but they would be ok for smaller items.I purchased the brown canvas bag and I really like the color, it goes with most things and probably will hide any spot or stain that happens to it. The material is sturdy but flexible and not at all heavy. The strap is a good length (although I'm not exceptionally tall). The only draw back to this bag that I see is the lack of a dedicated compartment for a water bottle. Other than that I see this as something I'll be using for quite some time. I would recommend it to others.

Perfect everyday bag!
Great smaller bag! It would be great for many uses like a computer bag, camera bag, diaper bag, book bag, or as a compliment to a back pack. It's about half the size of a back pack. This bag has multiple pockets, so it has a ton of storage options. The construction is solid and feels like it will hold up over time. I would definitely recommend this bag to a friend.

It's a great bag! It was enough to carry and organize ...
I have always been a "backpack" type of person, but I decided to try this messenger-type bag for an upcoming vacation instead.... I used and carried it all around Disneyland for days (small enough to take on all rides), Universal Studios and many other locations. It's a great bag!It was enough to carry and organize our tickets and important papers, my necessities, phones, cameras, battery packs, water bottles and extras for myself and my 2 kids (aged 8 and 10). The side pockets are on the smaller side but can easily fit the smaller or narrower type of water bottles for easy access - you could always put them in any of the numerous pockets or pouches as well anyway.I highly recommend this bag and I hope to continue using it for outings and travel for years to come.

Little short than regular size folders
I am still giving it five stars because it is really bag. Only con of the bag, the regular size folder that hold the 8x11 papers is little taller than the bag itself. If you put them in bag, you have to pull top of the bag to give it a room.

Good bag, but zipper tags break off
This is a daily bag (my pronouns are: he, him, his), and it's very convenient and lightweight. I keep chargers for phone and Kindle, the Kindle, wallet and credit cards, eyeglass-washing stuff, a ChicoBag, keys on a carabiner, and whatever I need wherever I go, including, sometimes, a thin SSD laptop or a thin book. The canvas is sturdy and almost waterproof. I have a leather bag, but it's not as practical, even if smaller, which means if I'm going out some place, it gets the nod. This bag is just a bit too large to tuck away at a restaurant or a bar.The drawbacks with the bag are as shown. There are three zippers on the bag. Normally, as shown in the first figure, they have a leather tag which is used to tug them opened or closed. My bag was purchased in 2016, and since then two of them have fractured off, as shown in the second and third photos. There's no possibility of a fix, as the zipper itself's clasp broke, seen principally in the third photo. The other drawback is that the end pockets are not large enough to securely hold a standard sized non-plastic water bottle. I've repurposed a Tatte lemonade bottle which fits fine and snugly along my ChicoBag.

A great bag for the price
This is a great bag for the price. I had taken it on a road trip to Florida and to Disney World. I had plenty of room to pack everything I needed to bring. Then it went on a plane trip to Texas. So much room I can use it as my purse but acts like a mini carry-on because it held so much stuff and fit well under the plane seat that I had space for a snack bag next to it.With so many pockets and zippers I can bring to name a few: my Bible, sunglasses, glasses, hat, pen pack, first aid, hair ties, makeup, passport. Word Search book, a small blanket, mini umbrella, extra cell phone, chargers and cables, power bank, etc. I still had space to spare. I tied my travel pillow on the outside for quick access. Oh and it has an adjustable strap which is great for me who is shorter and can't use longer non adjustable straps. I recommend this.
