Mouthwatering steak for dinner, followed by mouthwatering steak for dessert!
I have been consuming TVP for over 30 years. I have NEVER found anything as monumental as this game changer. I couldn’t care less about bacon or dairy, but one thing I missed most was a nice, juicy, firm — yet not tough— steak. My husband and I are so thrilled with this product, I’m writing a cookbook. The first pic is what it looks like right out of the bag. The bag filled up a 13 cup Gladware container. I was going to marinate, but didn’t bother. It was wonderful!!!! These are not going to last long, I can already tell. This product actually has a grain running in one direction, just like meat. I showed two closeups to illustrate texture. It is firm and tender, and mouthwatering when prepared simply. I cannot say enough great things about it, except PLEASE DON’T EVER STOP CARRYING THIS PRODUCT. I have always loved steak, but gave meat up because it makes me very ill. It didn’t stop the craving, though. THIS has. I prepared a few small ones to test them out. We both happily ate plenty! They were so juicy, scrumptious, and satisfying for both body and soul, I never bothered making sides! It was just too delicious to add anything else. Instead I got a second steak. My stomach is very happy!!!

Absolutely satisfied
Ok, I could go on and on about how much I love this product, but I have to first say ,WOW!!!!!! I wasn't expecting them to be this darn good!!!!!! I've been a vegan for over 10 years, and thought I knew about what was available out there ,well I was wrong .I came up with my own marinade for rehydrating the soy steaks .I rehydrated an entire bag using vegetable broth ,soy sauce, and a little bit of molasses, and onion powder.I then bake them in a glass baking pan with chopped onions and potatoes. I made a little cooking sauce with onion powder ,soy sauce, vegetable broth ,and a little black pepper, then drizzle some high-quality olive oil on top of everything. I covered it with aluminium foil and bake at 350°F. for about an hour, then I pan seared them to get areas sort of brown and black and like a real steak.I made a mushroom gravy as well to serve this with.

Great texture - VERY absorbent
Great texture... I have plenty left over! Made four and there are still some in the first bag (comes with two bags). I semi-followed the recipe on the back... didn’t have all the ingredients and didn’t marinate long enough, but it was way too salty - I will have to play around with it. Texture is similar to a mid-range (not too chewy, not all the way tender) rib, so I think I’ll dabble with a boneless “rib” recipe, country fried “steak”, or a stew next time.

Best soy steaks ever
I wasn’t expecting such a huge bag, enough to share with family, neighbors and maybe strangers on the street. Boiled them as instructed in vegetable broth for an hour and marinated for couple after that. They tasted great of the grill even the meat eaters liked them. Will buy again in a couple of years when it’s bag is empty...yes it’s that big.

Mmmmmmm
Rehydrated in vegan no chicken bullion turns these pieces into delicious magic. We love these and the soy curls too! Recommend both.
