It's just okay...
Tattooing for 13 years and I've tried tons of different products for stenciling after Spirit changed their paper. The old Classic Thermal recipe by Spirit was FAR superior and they shouldn't have changed it. They said it was to serve the new transfer machines, but I've got both new and old thermal transfer machines for both toner and inkjet printers, this new recipe for the Classic Thermal just isn't as good. But since there isn't a better transfer paper out there you just seemingly have to settle for the new and worse version. Specifically: lettering and patterning with smaller loops, corners, and enclosed lined items will be a problem for this paper. I print out a whole sheet of the same little design and pull the top sheet very carefully to hope to get a single one that's viable for the tattoo. In tattooing you don't want to ever say, "well it's good enough" you want something that you can confidently work with without having tons of distracting extra purple transfer stuff in ever loop and corner distorting the transfer and making the client ask hesitantly "is that what it's going to look like?" I wish they'd just go back to the old recipe, but it's still better than the other brands. It's just okay.
