My students love having a map of study they all can see no matter where they sit in the classroom.

Great map - huge and colorful. It is on the wall in our home school and is incredibly helpful for teaching American history and geographically-influenced culture. Kids can easily see the geography of the US with the green - brown elevation key, water depth is also shown. Typical features like state capitals, major cities, rivers, deserts, mt. ranges, etc. are labeled. It is laminated and good quality.I bought poster hanging rails from another company to suspend the map on the wall rather than tape it to the wall. The strips cost as much as the map, but not a problem because this map is so reasonably priced (total with shipping still under $20). The rails were $32 for a set for this size of poster. This total was less than the large world map w/ rails that I got elsewhere ($80) so I was satisfied.Basically, I think this map is beautiful to look at, well-labeled, indispensable for our school lessons, and a great price for a large, laminated map. Great purchase.

I have this up in my living room as not only a focal point, but an educational & functional item. Our children love it. We have family all over the US and it's wonderful to put them all on the map via little map pins. When they have questions about something in the news like Katrina, etc, we are able to point out the location to them.I did have this mounted onto foam core before framing it for the wall (no glass in front) but it would be just as nice looking on its own. It has just enough information and major cities to be able to locate what we need on the map without looking cluttered. The colors are beautiful and work well in a home.

I am a school teacher and this map works well in my classroom. The size and color draws my students to it. They like to look at it and learn all on their own. A teacher's dream!

Although the map picture is correct, the size of the map was not as decribed. I ordered this map knowing it would be the correct size for my classroom (51"x40") but the one sent was (38.25"x25.25") significantly smaller and not right for what I hoped to use it for. Very upset it was not as described.

Excellent map, very informative but not too cluttered. I bought it for our Homeschooling units on Lewis & Clark, and the Civil War, and after buying some dry erase markers, we're having a great time with it. It is HUGE!

HUGE map! My kids spent about an hour and half looking at it after I hung it on the wall. Great detail and easy to read.

This map is the perfect size for the amount and type of details on the map. The lamination guarantees sturdiness, but it does create a fairly noticeable glare unless the map is hung under just the right lighting.
