I used them as gift boxes, and they were well received. I thought that they used too much glue to secure the fabric inside, but no one noticed. They thought the carving on the outside was great, and these boxes were comparable in cost to other gift boxes of less quality that Amazon sells

I bought this jewel box to gift my friends and they all loved it!! The craftsmanship is good and ease of use is a big takeaway

The media could not be loaded.  First time purchasing a wood carved box online/through Amazon. I bought 2 boxes one to store my tea bags at work. The other for what ever. Tea bags fit as expected snug as a bug. Both boxes were packaged very well wrapped with paper and tapped snuggly.I did not read the reviews before purchasing. Be very cautious because these smell as if they were rubbed down with engine oil just drained from a car that was way over its mileage change date. Either that or the boxes were stored in an oil soaked garage waiting on shipment.I like the boxes but if I can't get rid of the smell I will have to return them.I'll attempt to clean them as one buyer stated in her review before I use them and stank up my tea.I'll update on the out come.Any way beware of the stench.

These boxes arrived individually wrapped. NOT ONLY do they not close evenly (top on/to bottom) the powdered dye is still freshAND IT SMELLS HORRIBLE TOOBAD TO KEEP IN MY HOME!

Thought I was ordering two, four arrived! All were hand crafted and same design but still different. Have enough for Christmas now!

The etched details are nice and suitable for storing keepsakes
