Great little heater for Betta fish in 2.5 gallon tank. Temperature remains consistent. It’s easy to clean during tank changes. The bottom suction cup broke after several months but the top suction cup is still going strong.

Okay so I saw ALOT of reviews about their fish dying and I was scared at first but I took the chance. I am pretty good with Beta fish now for years and I had a hunch but I wanted to see for myself. Although this product states it can work for a 3 gallon tank DO NOT buy it unless your tank is 5Gallon or more ! It is too powerful for anything smaller. I hope this helps save some fish lives. The decor was really cute and it is a great deal otherwise I have it set diagonal and it’s doing a great job in our AC blasting condo !

We were gifted a betta fish and had to buy all the accessories in a hurry. Oddly, the pet store didn’t mention we needed a heater, and our little guy didn’t seem at all happy. We ordered this heater for our 3 gallon tank. It is preset at 77 degrees (I don’t think there is a way to change this setting) and it works great. My betta is a lot happier now too. One thing I’ve noticed is that the heater runs a lot at night when it’s cold, and of course not as much if at all during the day when the indoor temp climbs higher (we live in Florida and this is winter). But since the water is prewarmed to 77 at night, as the day warms up, so does my tank. I’ve found my tank at 84. Betta still seems happy, but I feel like that’s probably the limit. I would be concerned that if I had a smaller tank, under similar weather conditions, that it might be subject to even greater temperature fluctuations. I would suggest taking caution with a smaller tank than me, but for 3 plus gallons, this will be perfect for you.

Would be a great heater for a larger tank.I used this for my 3.5 and 5 gallon betta tank, I tested the water temp after a day or so and it was always at 86 degrees which is too hot for my betta. He was swimming around really fast and acting kind of crazy. The temp sticker is very inaccurate so be sure to buy an actual water thermometer. I ended up purchasing a heater that let me control the temp instead.Its a good water heater and I really liked the slim design, it would just need to be used in a bigger tank. In case you’re wondering if you can put artificial plants in front of it (even if they’re touching the heater) you can. It won’t damage or melt them.

I was a little concerned by reading some reviews. But, it works fine with me. The temperature will fluctuate. about 79-82.6 degrees Fahrenheit for me. I like that when it turns on, the red light lights up. The thermometer strip does work for me. Note: the strip goes outside, on the glass. NOT inside the water. I bought another different (digital) thermometer in case. I placed both thermometers on the opposite side of the tank (from the heater).Due to the concerning reviews, I would urge you to purchase another back up heater, incase you receive a faulty one. (Note: by what I mean as back up, I mean another heater by another brand. not the same one). I kept a careful eye on 2 thermometers. I love my betta too much, I don't want to boil him.

I bought this for my fish tank because my bedroom (where I keep my fish) is not heated or cooled by central air. So during the winter when I would shut my portable heater off during the day, the tank would get wayyy too cold. So I bought this heater for my 5 gallon tank to hopefully keep my fish from freezing their tailfins off. And it does just that, just a little too well. I have to unplug it at night or else the tank gets too warm between the portable heater and the tank heater. At times, the water was reaching up to 80 degrees, which even felt warm with my hand. It is supposed to shut off on its own when it reaches a certain temp (you'll know if its on or off by looking at the red light on the side) but mine never has. So its a great heater if you have time to check your fish tank every few hours, not a great heater if you check your fish once a day.P. S. The plants came with sharp plastic edges and half to most of the flowers weren't on the top. I tossed them in a box somewhere and haven't seen them since. Buuut the thermometer works and sticks fine.

I purchased this heater to replace a smaller one that came with the tank, that almost killed my fish by heating the water to 92 degrees Fahrenheit! The heater works as promised, keeping the water temperature within a couple degrees. As other reviewers point out, the suction cups are a bit weak, but it seems to be mostly staying in place.The reason I knocked off one star is that products from brands like this take the term "no-name brand" to a whole new level. I have no particular attachment to the "ZEETOON" brand, but call me old-fashioned; I like to get a box that matches the brand I bought. Instead, I received an identical device, but with "Seabillion" branded on the box. I'm sure the device was made in the same factory and all, but this just feels shifty to me.
