Blurex Ultra Slim Case for Apple iPad Mini 7.9 inch with Sleep/Wake and Multi-Angle Stand Feature

I bought this for my sister who recently bought and iPad mini and needed something to protect it from the everyday (carrying it around in her purse, using it around the home, etc.) as well as protecting it from her toddler. Now this is not Otterbox quality in terms of protecting it from drops, but it does seem to do the trick. She didn’t want the bulkiness of the Otterbox since she would be carrying it around in her purse often, and she’s very happy with this case. The cover protects it well, and the leather is very soft and seems durable. The case itself is slim and does not add excessive bulk which is nice. She can access the holes for the earphones and charger easily without having to take the case off. Plus getting the devise in and out of the case is simple and quick. (I can speak all about these features since I had the opportunity to play with the devise in the case after I gave it to her). It’s been 1 month since I gave her the case and when I asked her yesterday how it was working out, she said she’s still really happy with it and it’s holding up very well. No stitching coming apart, no real signs of wear and tear, and she uses it every day. My one recomendation would be that it be a little more snug to the devise. Even though it is pretty slim and not too bulky, it could be improved. Still, for the price, this is an excellent value and great case.

This is a very functional case and seems to be holding up rather well. The only downsides are that taking pictures is a bit tricky as you have to hold the cover open (something I suspect would be a problem with any cover) and the stand isn't quite as sturdy as I'd like. If you're just looking for something to protect your ipad mini, then this will most certainly do the job for you. If you are looking for a stand or plan to take a lot of pictures, you may want to look into an alternative solution.

This is my second time I'm ordering a Blurex folio for a tablet. The first case from Blurex was for my iPad 2, over a year ago and was extremely happy with it, so after getting my hands on the iPad mini I headed straight to Amazon to order a case for it. I'm couldn't be happier with this case a well.The material is made of a synthetic leather which is almost indistinguishable from real leather. Feels great in my hands and has a solid grip to it.It fits the iPad mini like a glove, hugging every curve of the tablet. This case just like the one for the iPad 2 has the built in stand function that lets you convert the cover into a stand. It indispensable when you just want to relax and watch some YouTube clips. One of the nicest features of the cover is the fact that the front bezel of screen is not obstructed by the cover. That's because the tablet sits in the case with the clips holding it in place. It also takes advantage of the iPad Smart cover function putting the tablet to sleep when closing the flap. They did add a very smart and useful hand strap that allows you to hold the tablet one handed while the front cover is flipped back all the way. This is one of those cases that look good in the photos, and the price is certainly right. However, in practical application it's hard to use. You have to unsnap the iPad from the left side corners in order to view it sitting up as shown in the illustration; a real irritant. Other than that, it's a nice case. If all you want to do is keep it flat, go for it.

Just received my case and it fits my iPad mini like a glove. It feels very sturdy. The sleep/wake feature works perfectly. I also love the strap for your hand. It's very useful for reading and one handed operations. I gave it four stars vs five only because I am not crazy about the elastic band that you need to attach to hold the cover in place when you use the hand strap. It covers some of the screen.

It does everything it is supposed to do. The stand up mode works well and is handy for desk use. I love the strap in back that lets me slip my hand in and secures the ipad for reading. And the smart latch works well for turning off the device when I am done.

This is my second Blurex product and I'm delighted with both. I first bought a Blurex KIndle case for my daughter last autumn and was immediately impressed with the quality, especially for the price, and how well it fit the Kindle. She's had it four months now and it has held up beautifully, still looks new. In contrast we've been we've been through several not-so-great iPad cases. So, when I got an iPad Mini for Christmas and saw so many lackluster reviews for cases I went looking to see if Blurex made one for the Mini. It arrived today and I'm thrilled with it. The fit (as with the Kindle) is snug and secure, the two position stand is sturdy and (though I doubt I'll use it much) it has a strap for reading. Couldn't be happier.

I have been using this cover for about three months, and I love it. It still looks like new. One benefit over the Apple magnetic screen cover is that it covers the corners. I dropped my iPad mini from standing height, and there was no damage. I am 6'2", so I need a stand that will put the screen at an acute angle to be able to see the screen when it is sitting on a table. This cover has three angle options--two grooves in the screen cover, and the screen cover clip on the edge that is used to hold it shut. Using the clip to catch the edge of the iPad when using it as a stand puts it at a great angel for me.
