I have a 66 lb Akita who loves to pull. I've gone through numerous leashes, several of which are said to be sturdy and assist with dog control. This one is by far the best of the bunch! It is sturdy enough to keep her in check and doesn't hurt my hand nor pull out of my control when she attempts to lunge at something that catches her interest. Would buy again.

Great leash, the short loop is great as it has no give on heel when you let it go the stretch is on the long portion to keep tension on the leash during watch or attack command.Important: make sure your partner with the sleeve knows the leash expands! Once the bite command is given.

I have purchased two of these, one failed right out of the box before I could use it and this was replaced right away. The first one lasted two years, the bungee was worn out but was still useable. The clasp failed. Now my replacement has done the same thing. The ad states these can handle a lot of loads but I am finding out otherwise. I like the leash but can not keep replacing them every couple of months.Please feel free to reach out to me.

Well, I loved the design and look of this leash, but the first time I used it on my big girl mutt, all 70lbs of her took me on an unexpected pirouette after she got spooked by a dog that charged us out of nowhere. The strong bungee effect allowed her to throw me off balance as she initially pulled away suddenly. After she pulled me in one direction, she came back to charge the dog to protect me, thereby running behind me which completely spun me around, causing me to lose control and ultimately land on one foot awkwardly, causing a Jones fracture of my fifth metatarsal, and required surgery to repair with a titanium screw, resulting in an entire summer ruined due to mandatory rest. Bummer but it wasn't anyone's fault, I was unfamiliar with the pulling effect of the bungee. I bought it to buffer the sudden jerk when she pulls hard on her leash, because that kills my back, but I've had to go back to my old leash to prevent further broken bones. Would only recommend this bungee leash for smaller less strong dogs or you might end up in the middle of the road looking like a broken ballerina like me! Lol...I now keep it my vehicle to use as a doggy seat belt.

Material is great! Very comfortable to hold onto compared to my old chain leash. Wish I had gotten the color I had ordered
