Great Garden Landscape Staples I will Buy These Again.
These staples worked great for me. I used them to secure a geo textile material I installed in my new patio area to keep the limestone fines seperated from the soil. I needed to hold the geo textile material in place for a few days until my limestone could be delivered. It was very windy and the boards I had placed around the area were not keeping the material in place very well. My patio area is 18 feet by 21 feet. This large of an area covered with basically a tarp wanted to act a lot like a sail whenever the wind picked up. I used the landscape staples to keep this from happening. I did not spare any in pounding these in. I went about every four feet and staggered the staples to give extra strength. They worked like a charm. My geo textile material stayed right were I needed it to. It also stayed in place extremely well as I shoveled four inches of limestone base on top of it and ran a plate compactor over it several times. I am very pleased with these staples. I am planning to work on my mulched areas around my home and when I replace the landscape fabric I plan to purchase these again for that purpose. It makes install so much easier especially when you are doing the job yourselfIf you found this helpful please click "Yes"

Stays in Place
This product has been ideal in 'stapling' weed block fabric in place. My style of gardening is to lay down weed block on one day and get some bags of mulch another day. Since I tend to lay down more weed block than my vehicle has the capacity to carry mulch, large areas take a few days before they are properly weighed down in place. However, this has allowed me to see the benefits of the staples, especially for areas that overlap each other. The staples work best with hard packed soil areas. Loose soil is a bit harder to work with. I have one area that has been stapled in place without mulch added yet for over a week. It has held down the weed block during high winds and rough weather.

Rusted within a week, but EXCELLENT customer service
The first day I received this I was thrilled at the quality and size. A week later I removed the stakes from my garden netting only to find they are rusted.I will contact the company to see what they say.Update: The company answered immediately-same day as my email. Although these spikes will rust, I am keeping them for other uses. I want to use them for netting on my garden beds. i remove the spikes often to clip garden greens, kale, spinach, etc. The spikes are rusty and that gets on my hands while clipping organic greens. So, now I am looking for non-rusting spikes. But one thing is for sure, this company has EXCELLENT customer service. The owner answered me. Very helpful. I like this company although I am not able to use these spikes for my garden bed netting. I can use the spikes for other things.Update again: I soaked the rusty spikes in vinegar water, wiped them off and they are fine. This company has the very best customer service! Would definitely recommend.

Better Garden Staples
These landscape staples are sturdier and longer than the last ones I purchased and so they push or drive into the ground better. Some people would rate them at 5 Stars because they do everything a customer might want them to do...but, still, they are a simple product. I also like the packaging because it is carefully made and the box can be opened and closed multiple times. Few of us will use 100 of these all at once so neat and handy storage of the remainder is much appreciated. I used these to install a copper 'tape' slug barrier in my vegetable garden and to help tie down a protective canopy. The staples are holding well even though the canopy gets buffeted by wind every day and they are the perfect way to keep the slug barrier on the soil surface.

Great for the garden
I primarily use these to retain my drip system lines in my raised bed planters. I also use them to retain my wire cages used for younger plants to prevent critter destruction, birds, ground squirrels and bugs. They push easily into the soil and are easily removed and used again next season. I have even used them to anchor the electric cord for my wife's Christmas decorations-very universal. Priced right compared to nursery and a large quantity to allow better distribution for improved function.

It functions fine, does what a staple is supposed to do
It functions fine, does what a staple is supposed to do. However, every staple I nailed in my garden was completely rusted after one growing season. Not really sure what to do with these and don't understand why it got so many good reviews. If a product designed for outdoor use, it has to withstand the weather elements. To withstand the elements and the moisture in the soil, the garden staples should be made of stainless steel, not galvanized iron.

Cheap but effective
I must say: to me, all landscape staples seem the same. They are cheaply made but cost more than they should for what they are, and last okay. I'm never that impressed with this type of thing. To me, it doesn't matter where you get them they all have the same issues and flaws. I always think they bend to easily when met with just the littlest resistance (these are no different), but these did seem to rust much quicker. I have no idea if that will affect durability long term, but they were left holding weed barrier for a week and they were all ready rusty. I had some others from a local hardware store that I also used in another section, and they weren't rusty. I found that of interest. No matter what I want in the way of landscape staples I go with the cheapest I can find. In the future, if these are them, then I will buy them and recommend the same to any potential buyers.

Needed
I needed a lot of these for various landscaping projects I have going on and figured it best if I bought a large box of these rather than smaller packages. They are easy enough to use and push down into the soil, though sometimes it's a little tough piercing through landscape fabric and/or recycled rubber mulch and I sometimes wish both tips were tapered, especially after a few minutes when my hand starts to get sore, but a mallet helps if I know I'm going to be doing more. I haven't had much problem with them popping back up. These are longer than others I have used.
