Glasses are correct strength. I would give a 4 star only because the frames are not as wide as advertised and the arms are a little on the short side. But I have a really big head lol great back-up glasses.

If you're like me and never find the time to visit the eye doctor, you should get a pair of these! They're affordable and effective. If your nearsightedness isn't too severe (e.g., for driving at night or watching TV), I suggest starting with a 0.5 prescription. I purchased -1.0 and -1.5 and found them both to be a bit stronger than I need. But, because they are so affordable, I'll be keeping them and ordering a pair of 0.5 too. They're much cheaper than an eye doctor’s visit and paying for designer glasses that you will 100% end up losing or breaking.

The first time I purchased these glasses they lasted a few months with daily wear.This last time, they lasted no more than a week and a half and seemingly broke overnight. Imagine my surprise when I picked them up from my dresser - only to discover that they'd cracked without being dropped, roughly handled, or worn frequently.I'm extremely disappointed.

For the price, these are great glasses. The lenses are well made in that their rx matches well the diopter value I purchased, and they have a nice wide field of view. The frames, on the other hand, are junk. I have purchased cheaters at Walgreens for $10 that have better frames than these. The hinges have no flex, and the frames are un-adjustable in general, which means that they are (and will remain) tight on my head. The frames are also ugly as sin; bearing a strong resemblance to glasses a certain dictator likes to wear. However, they make excellent back up glasses, for very little cost. It's rare to find glasses for myopia at this cost that can be purchased on the web, I just wish the manufacturer had an option for better frames.

I have worn expensive prescription distance contacts and glasses since High School (now age 62). As I don't need my contacts on when working around the house (mostly reading and crafting) - I often don't put in my contacts or go downstairs to get my one pair of prescription distance glasses until ready to watch television in the evening.I've often wished that prescription glasses weren't so expensive so that I could keep several pairs around the house. Well...I found these and I love them!!!!They arrived yesterday and this morning I did a 'test run' by turning on the tv, siting in my normal spot and I could see the tv clearly! I went to a window and looked down at my car whose license plates are a blur from my 2nd story window, put on these glasses and all of the letters came into view.Now, these don't correct for my astigmatism so maybe it's not quite as good as my prescription - but for $15.99 (as of 3.5.24) - they're totally awesome! I love the cute multi-color frame and they're very comfortable. I'm going to order a couple more pairs just to have another pair at home and keep one pair in my car. So Happy that I found these.

Update: I have purchased these 2 times so far. Reason? They broke. So now with my 2nd purchase, they just broke again. This second pair broke twice. The first time was the arm of the frame, so I just taped that and it didn't bother me. Then 2 days ago, the frame around the lens broke, which was much harder to tape together, which I had to do in order to see, much less drive a car, while awaiting yet another purchase from good old Amazon.The vision part on these glasses is fine, but what good is that if the frame is funky? The first pair fit just right, a bit snug but not too much. The second pair was tighter, which was okay but it worried me that if I tried to adjust it, it could snap. I was always extra careful, because you can tell these frames are flimsy, but they still broke anyway, because they are not designed for lasting a long time (go figure, like most people only need glasses temporarily). My glasses strength is negative 4, so obviously I have to be able to rely on glasses not breaking. But I still buy these myopia glasses on Amazon only, because it's by far the most economical. Amazon previously had myopia glasses that lasted forever, but that brand is no longer available! They were completely different thicker plastic frames that were very well built and sturdy and looked good. If they had been available again, I would have gladly repurchased.So I won't be getting this brand again. I'm writing this with tape all over my frames, which I had to go out in public with yesterday; it's a miracle that tape could hold them together but it's barely doing that and I'm looking partly through tape. That's okay because it coordinates with the stain on the front my blouse and kind of completes the fashion-challenged klutzy look. Well, this pair did last me for several months. Best advice - have a backup pair always, if your vision is poor.Thank you, Amazon, I still maintain that these low-priced myopia glasses are a lifesaver. No way in hades am I going to fork over 500 dollars at the optical store or even 60 to the online glasses merchants. These bargains didn't exist until a while ago for the myopic - so no complaints here, I will just go with their Amazon competitors (it's out for delivery)!For those of you wondering about having the same power on both your eyes, when your eyes have different vision strengths, don't worry about that. Your eyes are already looking at the world using their different strengths anyway, and this same-power-for-both-eyes correction is just the same as being closer to what you're looking at, without glasses. But do what you feel is best after reading about vision correction. There is a whole lot of interesting information out there._ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Original review:I've worn glasses from Amazon for several years now. It's one of the greatest values there is. Of course my eyes aren't exactly the same, but that doesn't matter; these work for me. They allow me to see very clearly and the fit is snug, which is great. I ordered a bit too strong so I ordered the next power up from where I was, and they are amazing. So clear. I can still use the higher powered one for something like driving (at night). I hope to get cataract surgery, but these glasses are definitely my daily bread; I couldn't get along without them. I'm thrilled with my order from today because with one power difference, now I can see better than I have in at least a year. It makes all the difference in the world. These glasses are well made and you can't beat the price. This particular brand was the one that had high strengths; some of them don't have powers this strong, so I couldn't order them. Very glad I got them. Highly recommended.
