Ameda MYA Pro Hospital Strength Electric Breast Pump, Includes 24mm Flanges, Freezer-Safe Storage Bottles, White

Purchased this for my second child/journey. I also have the Mya- however I wanted a more stable pump for home use. I love it- I get much more milk out than the previous brand I used, however, the pump is equally as comfortable.The Mya is smaller and more portable- but has to be charged constantly. The Mya pro is my go to!

This is not my first rodeo. The Ameda Mya Pro is awesome! Keep in mind every woman responds differently to pumps and this is my sole experience. I gave birth to my second who was admitted into the NICU, so I pumped in my hospital room using a Medela hospital grade pump; it felt inefficient just like the first pump (Medela Pump in Style) I used when I went back to work after having my first child. As soon as I was discharged, I went home to open up the Ameda Mya Pro pump. I waited for the 2-hr alarm to sound, started pumping and ended up with twice the amount of milk and took less time. The NICU nurses were amazed how much milk I was bringing to the hospital. They had to start storing my milk in the hospital freezer.One huge feature is the massage setting, which feels so much like a baby attempting to get the let-down to start. Thank you, to whoever invented this setting. I love that this pump is a close system, has a spot to set down a bottle, the screen has a backlight, and there is a handle for carrying that can be pushed down when not in use. The bottles are relatively stable even with the nipple shields screwed on. The bottles are also easy to clean, since they have wide mouths and the lids provide a good seal. The silicone duck bill valves because they are easy to remove and clean. The shields are comfortable.This Pro version pump is not pocket sized and lightweight like the Ameda Mya, but offers more customized settings for each session; a trade-off I willingly accepted before I purchased. The replacement parts are not cheap, but well worth the end result. Efficient pumping! Let's face it; supply and demand. If you can't efficiently empty the ladies, your body is going to signal to produce less milk. I highly recommend this to all my friends having a baby and need a breast pump. I have no fears for when I go back to work. I REALLY wish Ameda would make a vehicle power cable for this pump, since this pump is not rechargeable and some of us ladies have jobs that require travelling. For now I will settle with using my inverter when travelling.
