Nice quality. First time ever using silk.
I’m in it for the long haul... Most likely I will be at it, rolling this into a ball for half the day.. today, or longer .. BUT I am persistent... tangles and all... its all good.. FIRST TIME knitting with silk. A 100% natural wool DRYER BALL I am using as a base to start the roll.. it’s firm and silk thread seems to adhere to it and it stays put. Anxious to loom this along with a silk-bamboo yarn project. Satisfied with purchase. I do not see any knots.. looks smooth.UPDATE: One hour 30 min into this... I spoke too soon early on.. In it for the long haul , winding it into a ball. If I had to pay myself minimum-wage per hour to wind from a hank to a ball, THIS ONE HANK/skein of yarn would be **ONE-EXPENSIVE-project**.. INSTEAD of the usual method, in India, of wrapping into a hank/skein and twisting it, why not wind this approximate 2800 yards into 2 Or 3 balls, using one wool dryer-ball Each, for its base starter roll, like I have, BEFORE it’s advertised for sale. I will have to cut here and start a new ball. The silk is thinning, where I’m trying to undo the knots. The labor by the women in India is an art-form of a delicate procedure and admired how they can do this.**Today Feb 26, 2020... Watching the Mandalorian series (2019) calms me, as I continue to sort this out. Unless I missed it “nowhere” on Youtube, Pinterest, Google does it demonstrate rolling SILK-HANK-YARN-ONLY into a ball/balls. I’m making my rounds, everything is good THEN unsuspectingly, the inner individual yarns all start to pull up, away from the hank/skein. Then I have to make more cuts and tie ends together and resume winding. No instructions in pkg. Possibly I’m doing this all wrong, but apparently no one has attempted OR MAYBE they have, but was unsuccessful like me LOL. If anyone has had experience and LUCK winding this into a ball, please post here.

Still good product...
I like this yarn.. it's soft like silk.. only it's too thin. I'm currently trying to untangle them so that i can start making a project out of it. I think tou need to knit 2 or 3 of these together for best project output. This looks durable enough.. as long as you don't pull too hard, i think i can untangle this easily.. just takes time.. i hope they will have thicker version.

Very fine yarn
In over 50 years of working with a multitude of fibers this was by far the most challenging to work with initially getting it rolled into a ball by hand took hours. It tends to stick to itself so it takes a lot of slow steady work and a ton of patience. Once I got it in a ball I was very happy and relieved and anxious to start the project I got it for. It works up nicely and I probably would buy it again in the future.

Not good for fringe
I bought it to make fringe but not good for that and it completely tangled up- I was disappointed. I believe if I crocheted or knitted it might be great but thats not why I bought so I cant really give a fair rating

Beautiful
Beautiful yarn. I can't wait to knit with it -- I'll use it for a Shetland lace shawl.

Time consuming; difficult to wind
Eri Silk spins into a raw silk that's not shiny or smooth but also has slub or neps (clumps) that contribute to this threads overall grabby nature and noteworthy roughness. The thread itself is very strong considering its microscopic diameter but it has a remarkable propensity to catch onto itself. At 2200 feet per 100g skein this is perhaps the thinnest lace you'll ever work with. I can't envision a knit application where a single thread would suffice. But my major gripe is that this product is not wound consistently. My skein had 20 crossed threads (spun clockwise then counter-clockwise) meaning it was nearly impossible to unwind. It took 8 hours to detangle and wind one skein into balls. I paid $5 for shipping plus $8 import fee to Canada making for a $40 skein. There are many other ways I would choose to allocate the $80 spent on the 2 skeins of Muezart had I the option to start over.I won't repurchase. I do not recommend.
