Tested using boiling water and showed about 205°F. The image shown is after I ran it under cold water and put it back into the boiling water. I did however have to return it due to it breaking and the gas leaking out, I wish it was sealed a little better.

Didn't need and wouldn't fit.

I installed under the hood so I can monitor temp while I am tuning/wrenching a live engine. I added an oil psi gauge under the hood as well. Not only do I like to see vitals without poking my head in the drivers window, but I also don't trust the 18yr old gauges in my car. The factory oil gauge (2004 Grand Cherokee 4.7) is a "false" gauge, as the sending unit only has one wire. That means the gauge will only read 55psi, or zero. It is a glorified idiot light.Install of the temp gauge was a piece of cake, took 15min. I dropped the probe in the air bleed port, and mounted the gauge to the side of my CAI box. I did NOT install the gauge lamp, but I might in the future. It appears to be accurate, as I can see the gauge drop right at the temp my thermostat opens. And, shhhhhhhocking.... It tattles on what I always though was a liar, the factory gauge. Factory gauge reads cold by 12 degrees....

It worked for a little while and was a great product until it wasn’t. I have a built 383 stroker that I used this temperature gauge for and one day while I was cruising it just stopped working and I came very close to overheating. Since it’s been over a few months since I bought the product Amazon has been no help neither has this seller on Amazon and the only number they gave me to contact was the Bosch technical support number which was also a waste of time because they told me I need to resolve this through Amazon. Very disappointed in this product and support I received and I will never buy a Bosch product again because of the hassle I’m being put through after having a faulty product that almost. Right after all this I went out and bought an auto meter gauge instead and it was money well spent.

Bosch is usually been quite consistent in their product control. right up there with Stuart and Warner and VOD. which are other superior products it seems even when Bosch is made overseas they still somehow managed to keep quality in their product line. for a midprice gauge you won't be disappointed.
