Worth the purchase
Fairly easy to install and looks good. Had similar problem that others mentioned regarding smoothness of key turn. Sprayed with lubricant and now turns easily. May have to repeat application of lubricant in the future.

Schlage Deadbolts
I'm a Locksmith and I have vendors that I use to purchase products. It's supposed to save me money doing things that way. These are the exact same ones I always use and they're $22 cheaper than my vendor.I stand behind Schlage (Allegion)They're definitely the top for door hardware. Tolerance is better, they're more secure, and quality is so much better than kwikset or any of the generics. They also have Dexter and Falcon at a cheaper price to be competitive. You know those will be just as good quality-wise.

Double Keyed, excellent!
It was tough finding the double keyed deadbolt lock. I went in person to both Lowe's and Home Depot but neither of those stores had it on the shelf. I like the Schlage, They are of good quality and the price is also very good. Nice finish on the brushed brass. I also prefer the double keyed because I have a glass oval on my front door. And "Thank You" Amazon for having this item in stock and shipping it so quickly ! I ordered it on Amazon at approximately 8pm and received it 9am the following morning, I couldn't believe that! Now That's Service !

One of the Screw Covers Doesn't Fully Cover the Screw
We purchased this to replace the deadbolt on our front door. We have a sweet son with an assortment of diagnoses who has absolutely no risk assessment ability, little impulse control, and a complete inability to understand and therefore navigate safely the dangers of the streets outside of our house at this time. So to put it bluntly, if we didn't have some way of keeping him inside he couldn't defeat, he'd probably not survive alone outside of our house. We did have a gate blocking off the front door which he was unable to open because his fine motor wasn't developed enough to do it, but he's become strong enough to rip it out of the wall mounts, and he's recently gained the ability to get the chain undone we had as a back up plan. He currently can not pick out a particular key matched to a specific lock out of a line up, much less get one inserted in a lock, so we replaced out the deadbolt with this as a back up layer of protection for him. We got this color because it perfectly matches our other hardware. The installation was easy enough, my husband did this one for us. Both of the keys that came with it work, and the key copied well when we made a copy so that our daughter could have one as well. I have had some lock keys that did not copy well so...yes, that really is a thing. My only note on this is for those of you that are very particular about aesthetics. There are these little metal caps that go over the screws to hide them and make the lock more attractive/ less of an eyesore. If you look at the right hand one, notice the visible crescent moon of screw that is underneath the cap. So, this could be attributable to a couple of things, I did make sure the screw was in there correctly. It appears that the whole on that side is slightly larger...Honestly, given what you now know about my son, I'm sure you can see why I didn't deduct from this for that. I've got much more serious matters that this lock is working great right now to solve, and it could be the ugliest thing in the world and as long as it keeps him safe, it's going to be a 5 star lock system in my book. And chances are, most people probably aren't going to notice it. Unless you're just a wee bit like me, and it practically calls out to your eyes every time you walk by it ;) In which case, all I can say is I don't know how common this situation would be with this lock model, but it is what we experienced. But every hair on his head is safe at this time, so it's still a 5 star lock in my book...

Looks Nice and Does the Job👍🏼
I decided replace my 20+ year old Kwikset deadbolt because of it starting to wear out.I was surprised how much lighter and smaller the body of the Schlage deadbolt is.The deadbolt part of the lock seems to be a little bigger and hopefully more solid.I thought it would be a quick and easy swap out of the Kwikset for the Schlage deadbolt but when it was all done the heavy duty strike plate that I have did not line up and I had to take it off and reposition it to line up.It took a little longer than expected to replace it but now that it's done it seems to be working great.

Sturdy
Well made and stronger than lock I am replacing. This is just well made, thicker metal. Big boost on safety

Perfect Replacement for Old Schlage Deadbolt
The 20 year old Schlage deadbolt was getting a little flakey and I replaced it with this new unit. The new unit is almost identical to old deadbolt. The old and new keys were only different by one pin. Watched a youtube on rekeying this style deadbolt. Almost ordered a rekeying kit until I realized the old lock had all the parts needed to rekey lock. Give it a try, not difficult.Deadbolt works great. Good feel with lever and key operation.

Feeling Much Safer
I recently purchased a single key & knob ordinary dead bolt from Schlage for a family member. The old lock had gone bad and I wanted something better. It works so well I decided I could use one - a 2-key type since I have a side window next to the door and if broken would allow a knob type to be turned. Unfortunately none of the hardware stores in town carried the 2-key version so I was forced to purchase this online. Price was comparable. There isn't much bad new, thus the 5-stars. Had this been a replacement I'm sure installation would have been easier. The only flaw was the cheap paper template for lining up the drill. Make sure if you purchase this that you set the center points of both holes with a nail so the drill has a proper guide in case the paper slips or tears.Other than that, this is a fantastic lock. It gives you two options for the strike plate: Two ordinary short screws, or as I opted, two very heavy duty 2 1/2 - 3 inch screws to guard against outside leverage. The lock operates very smoothly and the key glides in and out. I used WD-40 on the inside and powdered graphite in the key hole, but this was probably not necessary. If you are looking for a step up from the basic dead bolt, I highly recommended this. No special tools were necessary. Installation took about 20 minutes after drilling.Looks great in brass.
