For the Fashionista...lol!
Yep I'm a fashion diva with diabetes!...rocking the Freestyle Libre! It's summer...swimsuit weather...sleeveless shirt weather, so I had to find something other than the skintone patches, which are really fine if you're not exposing your upper arms. These patches seem to be doing a great job blending in with whatever I've been wearing. I teach aqua aerobics and aqua zumba, and they stay in place, the edges are clean. Best of all, people have stopped exclaiming "OMG, what did you do tyo your arm?" LOL!

I have a Freestyle Libre 14 day sensor, lol I've where it's hot & humid, and the sensors are always hit or miss as far as staying on my arm for 2 weeks goes. I was really hoping these would help keep it stuck to my arm. The patch kept coming off after about a day, especially after showering....off my skin, but still sticking to the Libre, making it difficult to pull off to try & put anew latch on. I tried a whole patch, I tried cutting a patch to where it fit just over my sensor. And tonight my sensor came out of my arm (prematurely), attached to the patch. I'm really sad that these didn't work well. The colors were cute! But...I needed a little bit more than that.

Lasts for almost 14 days on a Libre but no non-stick area for the Libre. Doesn't irritate my skin!
I actually cut these to be a little smaller so they don't cover as much skin just as a preference. I've tried other patches such as FixiC - waterproof adhesive and one other brand that was more oval than round. So far these are the only ones that don't irritate my skin and make me itch like crazy. In fact the oval ones (wish I could remember the brand) had me itching for a week even after I took it off when it started itching. So I love these from a irritation stand-point.Unfortunately there isn't a adhesive free area for the Libre I wear, so it sticks straight to my skin AND the Libre. Which means once the patch starts to fray and wear as it approaches 14 days it's very hard to take it off and replace it without also pulling the Libre out.I shower every morning and it only usually starts to peel a little or fray (because I cut it to a smaller shape) after about 12 days. Since I combine Skin Tac with patching it is not a big deal to have the patch come off a couple days before the Libre expires as the Skin Tac will last for almost a week without the patch over top. In fact I like that I can take the patch off a couple days earlier anyway.I've hacked it to leave some of the backing in the middle so it doesn't stick to my sensor but with cutting it smaller and hacking the backing putting a new patch on can take a few minutes vs a few seconds.I'll probably keep buying these because they don't make me itch and I already itch around the Libre penetration point after a few days (and I apply correctly with the alcohol swab etc) so anything that remove the itch even if it falls short a couple days is well worth my cost of living.

Works Amazing!
I'm only a few days in to wearing it, but so far I love these! They actually stick better and helps keep my sensor on, even when I'm bumping into walls and for frames. It was a little difficult to apply so I have the ridge as you can see in the photos, but I still like it. The color is more lavender than purple, but it's still nice. Next time I might go for the teal.

they are cute not very good though
Applying was easy but definitely need two hands to apply it its cute the purple stands out however day 1 it stuck very well took a luke warm bath on day 1 now on day 2 it is fraying I'm not sure if that is because its not as waterproof as they said or if its because the adhesive isn't strong enough I recommend if you want something cute and don't mind changing frequently but if you want something to last at least a week I don't recommend I will post a picture of day 2

Sticky residue but does job
Ok...kind of looks like these were just punched out of a roll of adhesive from a craft store, they work...adhesion is strong, but leaves residue..probably better out there

Will buy again.
Pretty easy to apply. The adhesive is decent, i actually leave some backing on where the sensor is cause it sticks to the sensor too good. Edges roll up a little after a few days. But overall it's a good product cause i can almost get the 2 weeks out of 1 patch and it protects the sensor well.

Doubt I’ll order again.
Maybe it’s just my skin but had a really hard time getting the adhesive to stay with some of the pads.. Also, the ends would fray which was a little annoying even if you can cut the frays. Not bad, won’t buy again though. They did well in the waterproof category..

Confidence in a product means everything!
Upon request, Patchabetes sent me a couple of free samples to try out so I could see for myself before buying if they would work for keeping my Libre sensor on. Happily, they work very well for me on their own, and when paired with skin tac easily carry me through an entire 14 days without having to change out for a new patch. I am thrilled with this product and the various color choices, as well as the great customer service. Thanks Patchabetes! This new cgm user is grateful for your help and will remain a repeat customer now that I'm confident of what works best for me.

Effective
I bought these specifically because a new sensor was threatening to come unstuck. I have now been using a patch for a week in the most challenging circumstances and am happy with the performance.Firstly, I had my partner apply it. I feel I *could* do it myself, but it would be awkward. Within the first week, the edges of the patch did come unstuck. Following the instructions, I had my partner cut the unstuck excess off (with cuticle scissors). Because it's on my right arm, I wouldn't have been able to do the trimming myself, maybe if it were on my left arm. The patch is big enough that cutting some off hasn't affected the effectiveness.Immediately, the sensor felt more secure. The patch smooths out the bump, so it pulls less on everything but you're also more aware of the patch than the sensor alone, which helps make you more careful about not catching it (think dressing). The patch has saved this sensor today when I took a corner too tight and knocked it.I will say that I do make a point to keep it out of the water, and I pat it instead of rub to dry. The fraying is not much, even on the unstuck edges.

Did not work for me
Found that these only last a few days even with care. Instead I use rock tape or similar which rarely needs to be replaced during the two weeks even when I snorkel daily on vacation or hot tub when at home.

Stretch while applying
These patches are a lot like athletic tape. As you apply it you have to stretch it out a bit to help it adhere better. I find when I don't stretch the patch while applying it does not hold nearly as well. I have very sensitive skin so I struggle to find patches that I can use for more than a few hours. I can keep these on for 3 days (maybe more, haven't needed to) without irritation or reactions.

Hard pass.
Well they’re less money... They might work for you but not me. I’d really suggest the brand name simpatch. These ones lasted 3 days vs the brand name lasting 12 days without edges peeling. Just not worth losing a sensor to save a couple bucks on the patch.
