Pleasant taste and knowing that it is beneficial to my gut, even better.
A Doctor on U-Tube was talking about fermented foods as very beneficial for gut health. He mentioned this tea as being a fermented one. I also like the taste. I put 2 teaspoons in a tea leaf strainer and this makes several cups of tea.

My perfect brew...
I bought this tea to make Kombucha, going to the extent of buying a Pu erh SCOBY to keep the brew 'pure'.But as an avid tea drinker I couldn't not try it as a stand alone drink.Blimey, what a fantastic tea!I drink my tea black with no sugar and this is a dark tea. The aroma nearly put me off but gave it a go anyway. The taste is mellow, flavoursome and no tannin bitterness. A real treat.Would I buy it again? Most definitely. Is is worth the extra cost? I would say so.Did the Kombucha go to plan? Yes and will be starting another batch shortly...

Better than I expected!
Deserves 4.5 out of 5.This was an emergency holiday purchase (thank you Amazon Prime!). I am a regular drinker of Pu erh (most evenings) and I have a selection of beeng/cakes at home. I always take some with me whenever I go away.My wife and I were lucky to be able to get a week in an AirBnB rental this year in the Forest of Dean. When unpacking, I realised that I managed to forget my beloved pu erh... Imagine being on holiday and not being able to enjoy a pu erh session - disaster!Amazon Prime to the rescue - I ordered this 'non-cake' to keep me going and it arrived next day (thank you, Amazon!)... and it was better than I expected it to be - it was really enjoyable, though not as complex or rich as others I have, but far better than any other non-caked shu pu erh I have tried. This would make a great introduction to pu erh without spending out on a full cake.

A good cup of tea!
Makes for a strong and delicious cup of tea!I used a single tablespoon of the tea in a teapot and found that it lasted three pots. The flavour stayed consistently strong for the first two pots, and then became much sweeter in flavour for the last pot.It might appear expensive for tea on the surface, but for the quality and for the amount of cups you can get out of a single tablespoon, I would say it is worth the extra. Will be buying again!

Puerh Tea.
I normally purchase the "normal" aged Pureh tea, which tastes lovely. I heard so much about this aged tea, I thought that I would give it a try.The taste is a bit more rich, but the smell was musty in its dried state. The tea leaves are a little more tough. (I know you don't eat the tea leaves once the tea is brewed- I have a nibble to "taste" the flavour)I would say that this is a nice strong flavoured tea, maybe not a one to have whenyou want to try as a first tasting. The "young" aged Pureh-ie 2 years old maybe a good starter. Then you can appreciate the sronger, earthy, full bodied intensity of the 9 year old .

Good taste but….
So I found this a lovely crisp and clean tasting tea only problem is it smells like fish. Could be from the fermentation process but I’m not sure

Nothing Special
Arrived, packaged locally, in a basic brown envelope. I wanted to send it back (unopened) but it's flagged in Amazon as "non-returnable". I've now opened it and tried a brew. It's OK but nothing special and certainly not worth the price tag.

Delicious flavour.
I likethe strong flavoured Pu'uhr tea. I discovered I need only a small amount of this aged tea otherwise it produces a tannin flavour. Not what you need.
