Salton Digital, Powerful 200 Watts with 10 Speed Settings Hand Mixer, 3 pounds, Silver

This mixer has worked great! I have never had a digital mixer until before this one. It is, however, a tad bit hard to see the correct lit up numbers if looking at an angle. So it's been a bit difficult to look at the display while mixing seeing as I'm standing on my tippy-toes trying to look straight down on top of it to read the numbers to see what speed i'm on and view the timer. I love the timer part tho. That's great. I only handwash the beaters as I've read that if you put them in the dishwasher, you lose the coating on them. I haven't had any issues with this since I handwash them. Great flat bottom for ease of setting it down on the counter momentarily to add stuff to your mix. I've used on thick poundcake batters, sauces, icings, cookie doughs (however with the cookie doughs, I only use to cream together the wet ingredients such as butter, egg, oil, vanilla, sour cream into sugar, then i use big thick wooden cookie dough spoon I bought at Whole Foods to mix in the dry ingredients like flour, oats, chocolate chips, etc.) I haven't been disappointed yet. Stores away nicely on it's side in my skinny kitchen drawer. It's lightweight, another plus! Cleans up easily and has a great look with the chrome. Altho it is not real chrome or that would make it too heavy!! If you take care of this mixer, it will last a long time. I love the reinforcement of the plastic on the cord where it exits out of the blender housing. Nicely made.

Hand mixers have always been a disappointment to me. Not enough power. I came upon a cooking show by accident and the host was putting his hand mixer into "turbo" mode. I searched Amazon and found the mixer. It is the best! Former hand mixers were great for some things but lacked the power to really whip well. This mixer is my go-to now instead of having to drag out my heavy Kitchenaid - which I still love for larger recipes. This one has many speeds and the highest ones are almost scary. It does have an on/off safety feature but I'd still keep it out of the hands of small kids. I now can beat egg whites and whip cream with ease. Lumps I used to fight now disappear easily. I use it regularly as I love to bake and do fancy cakes for my family. It stores easily (the cord wraps around it into grooves in the handle) and cleans like a dream unlike my large mixer with its nooks and crannies. I just bought two more for my daughters for Christmas. It is surprising that it isn't more expensive.

Product reviews on Amazon played a major role in my selecting the Toastess. Its difficult to objectively and comparatively rate an item purchased online, sight unseen, based Amazon reviews and mfg specs. I was so frustrated I was considering vintage offerings on ebay.Price was not a particular constraint for my decision in this purchase. Form, fit and function was.Pros: ergonomically sturdy, true variable speed (including very low and powerful high), rugged beaters, cool timer, attractive lookingcons: rock crusher transmission noise at any speed (Might have been a deal breaker if tested in a store)Overall I like it and can recommend it, particularly at this price point. I won't use it enough in this lifetime to rate durability but it seems well made with quality finishes.

This mixer is great. The last one I owned was very powerful. The problem was it was always on high although it gave me many choices of speeds. It flipped whatever I was mixing everywhere. This one will go very slow to start and then you can adjust it as you go along so everything you are mixing stays in the bowl. I love it and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a hand mixer. It also has a flat back so you can stand it up while you are in the prep mode. It seems to be very well constructed though I have only had it a few months and can't know how durable it truly is.

This was pretty disappointing. I wanted a "quality" hand mixer and was willing to spend extra for it. I thought I was getting a steel product, no, it's "stainless steel" color option. The body is very clearly plastic that is painted (it looks just like steel, so the paint job is great) but it flexes like plastic. The brand label on front of the machine is a cheap sticker that could fall off at any moment into the batter. The function is annoying at best and pretty weak. My wife complained that it doesn't spin fast enough to whip cake batter off the beaters, it sounds like it's going fast, it gets jet-turbine loud so I didn't believe her at first, but sure enough there are 20 speeds (and it takes a while to get up to 20) but not all that fast. Honestly I would rather just get a cheap mixer locally and just replace it every couple years. It looks fancy, but not worth the extra, not even better than the cheapo's.

I ordered this mixer and it was received on time and as described. However, the first time I used it I ended up having to use both hands to mix, one to continuously hold the on/off button down and the other to increase the speed. Another problem I experienced was the mixer would shut off as soon as I pressed the button to increase speed. I contacted the seller and they provided me an RMA to return the product and offered purchase of a reduced shipping rate to return it. Included in the return package I provided a typed detail of the problems experienced. Amazon notified me yesterday that a refund was processing, however it is not a full refund. I contacted the company for an explanation and I was informed that it is their policy to charge a 10% re-stocking fee on all refunds. I'm not sure why a re-stocking fee would be charged for a defective item as I would hope it would not be in their policy to re-stocked it. If you plan to purchase this product do yourself a favor and go to Walmart or Bed Bath and Beyond where if you happen to receive a defective product you can return it to the store and receive a full refund without re-stocking or shipping fees.

Il n'est plus en acier inoxidable mais plutôt en plastique imitation acier inoxidable. La grille de facade ressemble a celled'un Ford model T. Il n'a que 10 vitesses plutôt que 16 comme d'écrit par le vendeur. Par contre , Amazon a compritle problème et m'a remboursé rapidement en me premettant de garder le produit. Amazon a un très bon service après vente.

As everyone else has said this device is great. My wife loves it!
