I purchased these about six months ago and I STILL absolutely love them! They are not only beautiful, but are quite functional. The larger spoon I love to use for casseroles, homemade macaroni & cheese and such. The smaller spoon is excellent for homemade mashed potatoes and YES, for all those that are wondering (like I was) the spatula is absolutely fantastic at flipping eggs! It has that perfect curve that is needed for getting up under eggs or grilled cheese sandwiches or anything that needs flipping. I do "pamper" these a bit, as they do deserve for their awesomeness. I always hand wash (which takes two seconds), pat dry, and the next day rub a light coating of organic olive oil on them. I then let it rest on a paper towel for a day or two (to have a chance to absorb the oil) and then it goes straight in my crock on my counter where I enjoy looking at it's beauty until I gladly use it again. I purchased these to replace my toxic plastic spatulas. I also use stainless, but sometimes stainless isn't always suitable. I rotate between the two depending on what I'm cooking and what I'm cooking in. I only cook in glass, stainless and cast iron and the wooden utensils do well in all. The only foods I haven't used them with are "red sauces" - like spaghetti, soup, chili and such; so, I cannot comment on that. I have seen some reviewers say that they do not stain, but I haven't been that brave. I waited to write this review to make sure they held up and to see how well I liked them. I have to say, I love them - so much that I bought two more sets!!! My first puchase was with another seller (holy land market) - huuuuge mistake! They all came with cracks. Some of which had been filled in with some sort of putty or filler. I returned thinking it was coincidence to only receive another set in the same condition, foolishly I repeated the process only to be disgusted at my waisted time and their dishonesty. My mother also had the same experience. I do not recommend ordering from that other company ( I will mention their name again in hopes of saving someone else what I experienced - holy land market). Order from this company. These utensils are fabulous if I haven't said it enough! They all arrived in perfect condition, no cracks or damage of any kind and they are still beautiful and work wonderfully! And yes, they are carved from one piece of wood for those wondering. Very happy with this purchase!!!

I was really hoping these Scanwood Olive Wood Utensils would be nice. I have purchased so many types of wood utensils that have turned out of start splitting or breaking so I wasn't very hopeful and expected to return them. To my surprise I found that they were absolutely beautiful. I not only ordered the three piece set but also ordered the 14 inch spatula and the pointed stiring spoon. These utensils not only met my hopes but exceeded them. I am now in the process of putting three coats of kitchen grade mineral oil on all pieces. The ladle is not a ladle as we know it, but it is like a little deeper spoon that was used for soups etc from the early days. I love it. Who can cook with a deep ladle. This is absolutely perfect. I wish they also had this ladle in the 14 inch length which would be perfect for deeper pots. Being of one solid piece makes me feel safer since they shouldn't warp with good maintenance plus the glue points etc of many pieces sold today are just areas that over time trap food and bacteria. I highly recommend these.

Great olive wood utensils! Best ever. Beautiful and solidly crafted into just one piece with no glues or chemicals used. Like those you'd find at a fine art fair but without the very high price. Wood grains are artful and elegant. I've shopped in specialty cooking stores and no spoons there have compared to these by way of thickness, looks and strength. The spoons are comfortable to hold, stir and cook with. The various sizes and handle lengths are wonderful. I have looked for these for quite some time now and am elated that I found these. Rare to find, especially since no glues or chemical are used. Highly recommend!

These "scanwood Olive Wood utensils are very well made, insanely smooth and easy to clean as well as use. You'd be proud to have them in your kitchen for years and years. The spatula is the really perfect item, just the right size and with a sharp enough edge to slip under a fried egg and flip with ease. Bill
