Stens Muffler 105-296 Compatible with Cub Cadet Garden Tractors, Kohler K241, K301 and K321 393840-R91, IH-393840-R91, 237550, 237550-S

Bought this for my Craftsman garden tractor (917.273080). It has a Kohler CV22S. The "original" muffler had been repaired poorly several times and was falling apart. This is advertised for smaller engines, but the dimensions are pretty close to what mine had. Getting it mounted securely took a little bit of doing, but that's because I'm cheap. I'm not holding that against this product.What I *am* holding against it is just how loud it is. The only difference observed whether this is installed or not is WHERE the exhaust is directed. It's just as loud with or without the muffler in place. Pretty disappointing.

Was purchased for installation on a diesel Generator. It wasn't manufactured for it but I purchased it because of the size and its inlet and outlet diameters.Muffler was quality built , and I have no doubt that it would have worked great on the equipment it was designed. Installed as generator muffler it worked great.

Placed this an old Jacobsen garden tractor ( a Briggs and Stratton 11 hp). Barely no difference from a straight pipe.

Pay careful attention to the size!! This is much smaller than you think.

I fit this to my 5kw military diesel generator, I bought for power outages. The thing is still loud but now bearable.

This unit did not even last 2 days on a lawn tractor. It broke right at the welded seems.Trying to call customer service and still no reply. What am I to do next.. Picture will come soon
